FFS the NOTW has always been full of sensational and salacious stories................. it pre dates the s*n by about 100 years the s*n was modelled on the NOTW (then owned by Robert Maxwell) NOT the other way round

Murdoch bought both the sun AND the NOTW in 1969. The sun AND the notw both advertise the other as being there sister paper.

I don't think some of the fans know whats going on with this NOTW column so I don't think Carra will be booed come Saturday.

Secondly, I don't think Carra cares what a section of the Liverpool fans think of him. There will always be people who will say he should have done this, that or the other. In a few weeks time, all will be forgotten. Its just at this moment in time, its international week and its boring as ****.

what about people on here who were directly affected by Hillsborough and DO have a problem with the NOTW?

A very good question. Cause I guess they would be the people with the opinion that actually does matter.

Personally I associate the NOTW with the *** because on a Sunday, after six continuous days of printing their paper it doesn't come out and after six cntinuous days of non-printing the NOTW world then appears. To me that just mean's its the sun under a different banner.

Analogy being: I know a lad who hates scousers and Liverpool the club and city a lot but really likes Everton. Meaning despite him hating us (the team) the city in general and scouse people he still watches Merseyside football, that to me makes absolutely no sense but there you go. It's very very hypocritical.

People who read/buy the NOTW know what the deal is- it's up to you if take notice.

I think everyone is losing a bit of perspective here

The headline "THE TRUTH" in massive big letters was written and authorised by one person Kelvin Mc Kenzie ( the c-unt)

even his own staff were horrified and voiced their concerns but were overuled

Murdock ordered him to apologise he did reluctantly but the excrement that he is still stands by his words ( as proved recently)


The NOTW printed no lies has never been part of the boycott I hope those who boycott the NOTW for their own reasons also boycott sky tv and the times................. because your argument falls if you dont

As has been mentioned in a few peoples previous posts, it is the scousers that are going to be upset by this (not all scousers glove before you start) so for the education of some of our international reds here is a link to RAWK`s thread on the subject which is a lot more scouser based

It doesnt fall at all mate. I cant stand this same line that gets trotted out about sky. Heres my view, when hillsborough happened and the sun came out with that **** (not alone) and never apologized for it they were boycotted. In my (and a lot of other scousers) eyes the NOTW was included in that because it is the sunday sun in all but name. Sky wasnt around then so why the **** would I boycott sky? Even if it had of been, why would I boycott sky? unless it had of made the same discusting accusations against scousers and stood by them?

The NOTW didnt print "the truth" article but its sister paper did and to a hell of a lot of people in liverpool can never be forgiven.

I dont give a **** what was modelled on what mate or what came 1st to be honest, all I know is that since they were both bought by mudoch in 1969 the NOTW has been the suns sunday sister paper. They even say so themselves so I dont see what is so confusing about this for you.

No, the NOTW didnt do the truth headline but it is the suns sister paper, they say so themselves, and I boycott it just the same as I do the sun. So do a lot of other people in liverpool. A fair few dont boycott it because it didnt actually come out with the headline itself. Fair play to them, thats there decision and I have no problem with that.

The problem I have, is people trying to claim its not the suns sunday sister paper, it just isnt a ****in debate because the sun AND the notw themselves both even claim to be each others sister papers.
