true, he is quality and gets a lot of stick, a lot of which is unjustified. Thought we could have done with his passing instead of SG last night, who was abysmal in the game.

What makes you think he'd have done so much better than the rest of the team? His form over the last 18 months suggests you're clutching at straws. Think about - how is putting someone who's well out of form into a team that isn't playing well going to make any positive difference?

Can you tell me what, in his form over the last 18 months has been so bad ??

Is it the fact that he is always in the right spot at the right time, making the most amount of tackles in the squad for the last 2 or 3 years running ??

Or maybe it's the fact that his pass completion rate is the best in the entire squad ??

It could be that he is the best link man we've got from defence to attack and his off the ball movement is ****ing genius ??

Alonso is priceless to the reds. Just because he is not sticking 100% of his 40+ yard passes upfield, like he did against Tottenham a couple of years ago, he is now the worst CM in the squad... His, and the teams role, has evolved over the last couple of seasons, where we no longer need him to pump 40 yard balls because we play more of a pass and move game, in the mould of Arsenal, where we build from the back. I think he has been really good this season ...

                  Don't bother mate.

I'm at a loss with this Carheex guy. Alonso hardly ever has a bad game.

                      I agree, don't bother.
It must be annoying though - watching Alonso play week in and week out with a strange rosy tint around him...

Well, it can't be liverpool if I don't think Alonso has been amazing for us for every minute he's been on the pitch for every match since he arrived can it?!

With honest/stupid questions like that, I'm beginning to think you're actually nic83 under a different name.
