As I see it Quaresma lacks the good cross, helping out in defense and final delivery of the above things.

Alves, Mancini, Maicon and Ribery are probably the only four that have everything we need from a winger.

I know that Alves and Maicon plays as right wing backs but they can also play as wingers.
i've only seen the european games of alves and mancini and i wasn't impressed with them to say the least. none of them offers more quality in terms of crosses of final balls than we've already got. especially alves, he's got a big reputation but his performacnes don't justify that at all as far as i'm concerned...

with ribery i have to agree though, he looks like the ****ing deal for scummy munich.

The only player we need in attack is a proper and effective touchline winger with a left foot to replace the never-ending injury nightmare, who is Harry Kewell.

Our problem is our balance on the left side when Arbeloa plays LB. We have no left footers in the team when Harry's out. We don't need a circus winger who dreams of being a Ronaldinho.

Give me a Stuart Downing type, who is actually good of course, because Downing is average.

You're on a role AF. I think that's three people who have agreed with you thus far.

Ribery is a great player, but I have to question the ambition of a player who, after months of whinging about lack of European football, joins a club who aren't even in the Champions League. I'm sure he had his reasons for joining Bayern, it's just that I'm struggling to identify them

Really, really, really pleased we never bought Quaresma - I thought he was way overrated and constantly trying to impress instead of playing the basics right, would have struggled to verify paying £10m for him after that showing. I'm happy with Pennant, he's had an exccellent start to his season the whole team played badly on Tues bar Kuyt and JC even Mascher had a poor first half by his standards.

No use crying over spilt milk guys, transfer window shut a while ago - move on - support who we have.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

Its impossible to make a balanced comparison if you are biased against one of the players to start with.

I wasn't impressed on Tuesday to be honest I mean he didn't actually do anything. He's seems to have decent ball control and fancy step overs but his crossing was pretty poor and he shot from everywhere and never even came close.

The best thing he did IMO was right at the end when he tracked Dirk when Stevie nearly put him in. I haven't seen enough to make a judgement on him but when he comes to Anfield I think we'll be able to see what he's really made of and if he could handle himself in the rough and tumble of the English league.

but surely you are biased as you think he is good enough?

I am not biased towards pennant in anyway shape or form, i jsut dont think he is good enough and yes he has had a few good games for us and yes he can cross the ball well( apart from those ones that hang in the air for ages)

but i want to see a goal threat from my wingers.

a day consists of 24 hours and can be broken down into morning afternoon dinner time and night time

therefore evening kick offs are ok
