I'm just watching Porto match at LFC TV and this Quaresma fella is absolute ****! Sure he squirmed past a defender 2 times in the game, but that was it. His delivery from set-pieces is woeful and he's also diving all the time.

I wasn't impressed on Tuesday to be honest I mean he didn't actually do anything. He's seems to have decent ball control and fancy step overs but his crossing was pretty poor and he shot from everywhere and never even came close.

The best thing he did IMO was right at the end when he tracked Dirk when Stevie nearly put him in. I haven't seen enough to make a judgement on him but when he comes to Anfield I think we'll be able to see what he's really made of and if he could handle himself in the rough and tumble of the English league.

On the money there Pacman.

Having a few fancy tricks is all well and good but we want players with good end product and Quaresma's end product was poor on Tuesday.

I lost count of the number of times he wasted good dead balls situations during the game.

I know you can't judge a player on just one game but he didn't do anything to impress me.

but surely you are biased as you think he is good enough?

I am not biased towards pennant in anyway shape or form, i jsut dont think he is good enough and yes he has had a few good games for us and yes he can cross the ball well( apart from those ones that hang in the air for ages)

but i want to see a goal threat from my wingers.

I think you should read the entire thread before making uninformed comments.

Also if you watched Tuesdays 90 minutes and you think the Quaresma was a goal threat then you watched a different game to me.

It seems a lot of people wont be happy until pennant is gone out of LFC. Which i very harsh - i mean he's been improving greatly since he's been here and has shown real committment to the club. Alright he's not an huge goal threat or the finished article but i'd have him over quaeresma who aside fom a couple of dinks and tricks did nothing to put himself on my wanted list.

I just don't get the Pennant hate, he's been one of the performers of our season so far, and seems to have carried on hir great form from the back end of last season. Okay he didn't have his best game v porto but who did. he made a few too many silly tackles and he'll miss the next CL game which is no big deal really. I'd say he's one of the better RW's in the prem at the moment, there aren't many i'd pick ahead of him really.
