yes they are and ts time like these when you need a striker with that special bit of skill to unlock a defence and that striker is on the bench and its not crouch. we might grind out a 1-0 but the only thing thats grinding at the moment are my teeth meanwhile Arse are 2-0 up and look frighteningly good.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that we scored 10 in 2 games (and could have almost scored double that) while they were scraping results. Winning the league is not about looking "frighteningly good" in every game, its about grinding a result out on the days when it doesn't quite happen.

Ged never had a title winning side. Rafa has one but still dicks around. Pick your best 11 game in game out and then if you've got a game tied up after 60 mins or so, take them off.

What does frustrate me a little is that last week we were playing a big old unit of a side with only one proper wide player and Crouch constantly having to compete for balls hit from 60 yards back. This week we've been pushing fullbacks on, getting crosses in but no Crouch to capitalise.

Jaysus, I don't think we've been that bad. Plenty of pressure, just not quite incisive enough to break them down at the moment.

I honeatly don't understand any of you who are ranting or disgusted or shocked by this performance...

You all must be under 30. When we were on top of the world we still ground out results on occasion. and we rarely pumped teams 7-0.

sometimes those days happen, but its the first half against a team who work hard at the back, come off a run of two wins in three games, and went close to beating the chavs on the first day of the season.

please get over yourselves. we don't have some god given right to win every game with ease...

Sure we've been poor so far, but I fully expect us to pick it up after the break and thump Brucie's boyos.

Remember we had a few games like this last season where we struggled in the first half but triumphed by 3 or 4 in the end. The Fulham game, amongst others, springs to mind.
