It's clear to see.2 top established wingers would do the exact same.

Benitez to play reserves in Carling Cup
          24/09/2007 - 08:02:46 L

Liverpool are likely to include several squad players and reserve captain Jack Hobbs in their team for the Carling Cup tie at Reading.

Liverpool are likely to include several squad players and reserve captain Jack Hobbs in their team for the Carling Cup tie at Reading.

Winger Jermaine Pennant and midfielder Javier Mascherano picked up injuries during Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Birmingham and will not be involved.

But new French goalkeeper Charles Itandje and £5m Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva could also start the match.

Provisional squad: Itandje, Arbeloa, Carragher, Hobbs, Hyypia, Riise, Aurelio, Benayoun, Sissoko, Lucas, Leto, Insua, Crouch, Torres, Babel, Finnan, El Zahr, Darby, Martin.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Torres is one of three strikers so there is a big chance that he will play.

              I'd go:

              Itandje

              Arbeloa
              Hobbs
              Hyypia
              Aurelio

              Benayoun
              Sissoko
              Lucas
              Leto

              Crouch
              Voronin

Subs: Martin, Insua, El Zhar, Putterill, Linfield

Summat like that anyway. I'd like to see Insua start but Aurelio needs a game, and Leto is almost certain to start on the left side of midfield.

That's exactly how it should look, if Benitez starts or actually even contemplates Torres for that match then it confirms... it will put the final nail in for me.

                very true.

Kuyt has looked quite bad so far (and im a fan of his)

Crouchie should get a game with Torres IMO, he can play some lovely little neat stuff around the box (remember his games with Pongolle), and should link well with Torres.

Overall im quite happy with our squad. We have quality everywhere. But we just lack that killer instinct that Utd have.

I don't agree that he should play, but I put him in the starting line up as I can't see Rafa benching him for three times in four matches
