Riise, Kuyt, Pennant - none of them good enough for me. Riise and Kuyt have poor first touches, no guile and no ability to beat a man. Pennant has a great first touch and bags of skill but along with the other two has no end product. We can improve in these areas.

If we want to play more attacking then Rafa should sign a Kaka type of player and play him in Kuyts position. If you want to play it safe then you play a workhorse like Kuyt in that position.

The old saying goes "the time to worry about a striker isn't when he's missing chances, but when he's not even getting into goalscoring positions".

This is absolutely the case for Kuyt. It's not as if he's missing chance after chance every week. He's not even getting any chances, time and time again - and this is a poor reflection on him, rather than us not creating chances IMO.
