You know a couple of weeks ago there was an interview where Rafa said that Torres had to understand it wouldn't always be so easy for him, I've started to wonder if that was connected to his being on the bench of late. Maybe he was getting 'too big for his boots' in Rafa's eyes, if so a hat trick is a great response.

A little bit early to be saying that.

Not once did he roll around like a little bitch, (as many players unfortunately do now), or moan, he just kept on getting up, and getting on with it, and continually taking the piss out of the opposition, bagging himself a classy hat-trick in the process.

God! How defenders are gonna hate playing us this season

Do you remember Fowler circa 1995?

Torres has a way to go before he's at that level.

Torres could yet improve on that, which would make him one of the best strikers we've ever had. Early days though

He don't have any weakness. He is strong, quick, good in the air, good link up player, very skillful, good passer, good finisher, good in the box and has good vision.

            He is a complete striker.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Let's hope he gets protected when needed.

I can see Reading not being the only team who will be kicking lumps out of him this season.
We can't afford for any injuries with this one..

Give him a day off training, carry him to the bog if he needs a dump, but for gods sake Rafa never rest this man again

Torres will do the same if he can stay fit.

Still, it's too early yet. He may suffer from second season syndrome. Doubt it though, as you say, there is too much to his gam eto simply snuff him out.
I still say he needs a world class partner, someone to divert the attention away from him. Most of the game tonight he had 2 men on him, he won't be up against Reading every week.
It'd be great to get someone in in January.

Crouchie is a shadow of his former self, he looks lost, bored and miserable.
I think he'll be off if a decent bid comes in

Based on tonight's performance, I think Torres would murder Birmingham defence is he started on Saturday

Without putting to much pressure on the lad I think he could go on to be as good for us as Henry was for Arsenal.
