Based on tonight's performance Torres could rip any defence to shreds.

From what I've seen of him so far he looks the most exciting forward in English football since Thierry Henry.

HE is the most exciting forward apart since Henry. FOwler scored goals yes but was not a complete footballer. Torres has a swagger about him that only Henry had. People rave about fowler and yes he had an eye for goal but thats about it guy´s Torres can pass a ball to and skin a player also

If Torres scores 170 odd goals in 350 odd games then we'll have a debate.

It's still far too early to go overboard, I know it's hard not to get carried away. He's easily, by miles the best forward we've had since Owen.

But after so many high priced disappointments I'm keeping my feet on the ground. Though not for one minute do I think Torres will join them.

Of course it would help if Rafa would bloody pick him in the league. He makes our other strikers look 3rd rate never mind 2nd rate.

It's about finding him the right partner now. I'd like to see Crouch and him start against Wigan. Fat chance though eh?

It goes to show that maybe you do need to pay top dollar for top players,he's a point in case & at a mere snip it seems,i really really hope it lasts & i think the penny might have dropped with Rafa regards rotating someone this good.It makes me realise how we've been starved of a top class forward & how ordinary he makes the other three look.
