    Little Yossi scored
Start him from now on, we need a creative force in midfield when Gerrard isn't on form

Yossi should be played behind the strikers if we're going to play him (i.e. where he is most effective) - and use him from the bench whne we need it. But we need more class in the wide areas from the off if we're going to continue to put teams away, away from home.

Pennant made an assist but he should learn that he can't walk back up from a corner when the rest of the team moves up.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Gerrard was not that bad today. He looked dangerous and was at the heart of most of our attacking moves.Torres was unlucky with his first 2 chances and the linesman helped us and so did there poor finishing at the end.
Riise was shocking at both ends of the pitch and Pennant lost confidence and put his head down at the end.Great bit of magic from Yossi.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

Yossi has been ridiculously slagged off by many posters on here, and a lot of it before he'd even kicked a ball for us.

He should start the next few games IMO.

When we signed him and everyone was kicking off cos he wasnt 40 million quid and he wasnt a glamour name I stuck my neck on the line and said he would be one of the biggest reasons behind us winning the league this season.

Ive seen nothing to change my opinion on that

Wigan played like an away team first half. We started to pile on the pressure in the second half because they were starting to get up and play further up and we started to press.

All in all I think we played well but we were guilty of missing guilt edged chances. We should have won that game easily.

It's good to see that Torres is not the be all and end all as he missed two sitters today, one when he decided to go for the overhead kick when Gerrard had an open goal.

I wouldn't quite go that far, but I like Yossi. He's a great dribbler and is exactly the sort of player we need to unlock 'parked buses'. He should play much more than he has been doing.

He's growing in confidence and he's a quality player. We played well today and we deserved to win by more. 3-1 would have been a fair scoreline.

These are the players that win you leagues. They get you points you dont deserve

I think we deserved the win today. We should have won easily had Torres scored.

If the Mancs or Arsenal had won like this today, they'd be getting praise for grinding out a win while not playing well.

That's how we should look at it.

We've not played well for three successive league games now, but we come out of that run without a goal conceded and still unbeaten.

Four of our seven games have been away. Beat Spurs next week and we'll be flying - played 8, won 5, drawn 3, lost 0.

                            Lovely stuff.
