Not quite that bad but I did get a bit frustrated at first. The idea grew on me though - I'm on record as saying I viewed him, in a way, as a replacement for Zenden (squad status wise) and that he was a big improvement. I've been on his side for a good while and I'm chuffed he's had such a good week.

As I've said, he'd be in my starting XI for the next two or three games.

In all seriousness, he's looked decent in his cameo today and i'm thrilled for him getting the goal.

But just like it's wrong to slate him this early for playing poorly, 2 goals dont make him Pele either. Early days yet.

Let's just say he's hitting a bit of form and it's very pleasing. Long may it continue. No doubt, if he scores again in the next game, he'll be bench warming the one after

his recent form is entirely consistent with everything i've ever seen from him, going back to his days in spain. he was the one signing in the summer i was thrilled about because i didn't know much about the others but yossi has lfc written all over him for me.

I think we may end up seeing us playing with Benayoun or Gerrard playing just off Torres in more of a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 formation.

There may be more goals playing like that that playing with Torres plus one up front.
