Did Macca get booed? Quite surprised. I used to go to practically every game in those days and I remember distinctly in the run-up to his departure to Real the crowd used to really get on his back when the chips were down (he was something of a scapegoat) but in his last game he got a really good reception, was like a party atmosphere at Anfield.

But I guess if Owen got a bad reception there's no reason why Macca shouldn't have - he cost us £12m transfer fee so he could pick up his £60K at Madrid.

I remember Redknapps first game back at Anfield.

Bloke by me was all 'Jamie, yay, Jamie yatter yatter'. Redknapp gets his first touch of the ball, same bloke was up 'Snap that ****'.

Exactly, he played his part in Istanbul. I also remember that he was really involved with the chants/songs on the bus even after they'd been going for several hours

Played his part in the final though

Only former Red I've booed is EHD.

I wouldn't boo Owen, I wouldn't waste my time. I save my voice for supporting the Reds. If a former Red returned whilst playing for the SCUM he would get the booing of his life from me though, that is for sure

Anyone who boos Cisse is a ****ing gob****e.

The pen in Istanbul ? The lovely volley in Cardiff ? The sublime finish away at Everton ?

He'll get a great ovation and rightly so.

If my memory serves me right, I think we (well, some of the fans at Anfield) booed both El Hadji Diouf (quite rightly so) and Michael Owen ()
