Did Macca get booed? Quite surprised. I used to go to practically every game in those days and I remember distinctly in the run-up to his departure to Real the crowd used to really get on his back when the chips were down (he was something of a scapegoat) but in his last game he got a really good reception, was like a party atmosphere at Anfield.

But I guess if Owen got a bad reception there's no reason why Macca shouldn't have - he cost us £12m transfer fee so he could pick up his £60K at Madrid.

Yeah by certain sections far as i can rmember, i was about 11 at the time but been to every game since 4 but i can rmember him getting bood; he came back with another club if i remmeber aswell

Exactly, he played his part in Istanbul. I also remember that he was really involved with the chants/songs on the bus even after they'd been going for several hours
