He looks a good player to be fair. From what I've seen he'd be a good player in the hole behind Torres. I doubt we'll be signing him though.

hey your entitled to your opinion.

The width comes from either the forward staying wide (think Torres against Chelsea or Babel) or the full backs pushing on safe in the knowledge that with the 3 midfield lads sitting and making the play they can push on without getting caught out.

Also when we attack on one flank the onus is on the forward on the opposite flank to attack the back post exploiting any space that might form when the defence pushes accross.

You might not think its a formation with width but it has plenty of pace, guile and width.

Its more important property is intelligent players who can adapt to the formation and who can bring others into play.
