IMO he needs dropping, not rotating but a good spell on the bench maybe 3-4 games.
There's the pssibility that he's not recovered from his injury and in which case he shouldn't be playing, if it's hampering his games then it doesn't help him or us.
I thought he was complete ****e today appart from his couple of decent free kicks, but that got me to thinking well who do we put in his place? We can't put sissoko in there, in fact couldn't even entertain the idea, so that leaves us with Leiva. I'm not so sure he's ready for such games like Everton, Arsenal, Spurs. It probably would have been better to give him a go earlier this month, but even then there's no guarantee he'll be able to do the business.
For me Momo, Alonso, Sissoko are interchangeable but there isn't really a backup for stevie. Alonso would be the closest, but i don't like the look of alonso/masch or alonso/stevie. Maybe we should have a change of tactics and go 5 in midfield with leiva, sissoko, mascher in the middle, other than that i'm out of ideasThomas Hicks Senior

Granted he IS the best RMer at the club - but that's because we're so poor in wide areas, not because SG is great there.
SG is a CMer -always has been, always will be. Play your best players in their best position.

Sorry for banging on about this but once again if i posted the above i'd get completely slatedOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostRest him, drop him, sell him. I dont give a **** anymore. He's a ****.
I'm sick and tired of paying to see that lazy, overated, arrogant, moody little ****** wander around the pitch with his head down.
He is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

His bad run, the period when he'll be on form, has been about 18 months. He's beginning to sound like Kewell! My best is just around the corner.Originally posted by kewellnthegang View Postas a pal of stevie i agree he is not in good form but ask you all to give him a break

He's not been on top form for, as I say, 18 months so I think the fans have a right to be pissed. He is cut far more slack than any other LFC player.
Shape up, or ship out (to the bench not the club). The Crushing Machine MKII

He played better when there was some uncertainty about his future, so maybe some rafa tough love will mean he gets his A game out.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostHis bad run, the period when he'll be on form, has been about 18 months. We played our best football this season when he was injured and Xabi was in the middle but He's a quality player.either he's not fit or his head isn't right, either way I think when Xabi's back give him a rest then we'll see him back to his best I hope.He said himself he loves playing with Xabi and against Chelsea they were excellent together. When he's up for it and fit you can't beat him,I just feel he's missing some fitness and Xabi's company in the middle.
