      He scored a cracker of a goal today was brave!!

      Anyone else notice from the start of th match to the end his hair gets more curly

        We do need to sign another striker, I don't see Kuyt or Crouch getting 10 goals this season never mind Rafa's target of 15 for each

          I said from the start when we were linked with Torres that he would be class for us and it has been showed plus i always wanted another striker our other 3 arent good enough

              shouldnt laugh as it is a genuinley scary thought that we could have ended up with Bent. But how did we get by without Torres?

              the Mancs and the Chavs have shown over the years if you buy big then by and large you should get the quality. Only Arsenal have shown good players can be bought on the cheap, but despite their stylish play they havent won anything.

                  Wenger has won three PL titles.
                  Just believe and you never know what will happen.

                  According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                      Like I said on another thread, I'd like to see Berbatov brought in to partner Torres. A big lad who's good in the air, set's 'em up and bangs 'em in. Deceptively quick as well. Just what we need.

                                i'm not too sure about that. my worry/doubt is that whatever system he's got into his head - and supposedly it's based on the style of that 80s-90s ac milan team - is unbendable and that he sticks players into positions where they underperform or asks them to modify thier talents to accomadate his way of playing.

                                eg. xabi - bought as a typical spanish "pivote". now basically a defensive midfielder.

                                kuyt - a winger? ffs

                                SG - still can't consistently get the best out of him

                                riise - what is he exactly?

                                that's only 4 though. bit of a crap theory maybe...
