If we sold Crouch in Jan I wouldn't replace him with a striker. I'd go out and buy a sh!t hot left winger. Why not play Babel up front in Crouch's place? And then in the summer I'd sell Kuyt while his value hasn't depreciated so much and break the bank for David Villa.

If it turns out that Rafa still wants another striker then Anelka would be my choice.

As 4th striker, Babel is ideal. Our poor form isn't due to poor strikers, it's lack of service. Sign a creative attacker - wide or central.

We also need another defender. Not sure whether someone with experience (but younger than Hyppia) or a youngling. Needs to be able to play full back as well - Richards? (Too expensive)

I loke your suggestion about Kewell

3 world class players, no need for constant changes. let them bed in and gel together. at times some of our players play like they have just met.

no moaning from other players when they know who is the undesputed first choice.
