Not really - I just thought that the thread needed something different. I couldn't find a pic of a dead horse being shagged so I went with this one...Originally posted by bonzai View Posthmmmmmm......lots of pics like that in your collection??

In Australia we have a name for it. Unfortunately I can't think of it!Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostVery true.
Lets have a look.....of the top of my head.
Duff...past it
Vicente....half the player he used to be
Kewell....nuff said
Giggs...cunty ******* still going strong, but looked shaky at one stage with his hammys
Robben....has been a shadow of the player he was in his debut season
Overmars.....once he started getting injured, they wouldnt stop. ****ing quality player though.
very few play top quality football once they get past their mid 20's..in some cases its all going tits up in the early 20's
AFL players develeop their body beyond their groins capabilities. Groins do not really develop, even if you do steroids, apparantly.
The best wingers (in football eg soccer) need side ways movement, they do this so much perfecting the art as kids by the time they play at the top level they have burnt out! I give you Harry Kewell. If he was at his best level at Leeds today, for Liverpool, he would be the best left winger in the comp by a mile (proviso: Ronaldo[MU] is a striker).Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

might you be referring to the dreaded 'osteitis pubis' that plagues a large number of AFL players?Originally posted by Skillz View PostIn Australia we have a name for it. Unfortunately I can't think of it!

Like most of them he is injured. Think about it. Considering how many million kids play this game, finding a quality left winger that stays fit past 25 is bloody hard.
When Rafa came in and Harry got injured, everyone said get the other WC left winger Vicente! I have no idea of the stats but i wonder who has played more since the start of the 05/06 season.
Left wingers don't last (except Giggs the ****).As you 2 keep playing the injury card (something that I have not mentioned) Out of interest are you both saying that the left wingers are more likely to be injured than any other player on the pitch? If so why?Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostVery true.

It is a very odd argument. I would venture that players with exceptional pace are more likely to get recurring injuries and this might be aggravated by the twisting turning and changes of pace inherent in being a winger (or possibly also a forward). I am however buggered if I can explain why a left sided player would be more injury prone than right sided ones.Originally posted by Assassin View PostAs you 2 keep playing the injury card (something that I have not mentioned) Out of interest are you both saying that the left wingers are more likely to be injured than any other player on the pitch? HARRY KEWELL IS NOT A WORLD CLASS PLAYER FFS
and i know its not his fault he got injured but he owes liverpool imo cos we he has had nothing but support from us , we have paid thousands in medical bills for him and he has not been able to pay us back
i personally dont think he will ever play consistently good for us and for that reason i would get him fit and then get him sold.
IF he was to come back to his old leeds form - not liverpool form which is not and was not "awesome" then yeah sound but there is no chance
i will as ever give anyone in a liverpool shirt my full support but its time some of you lot got wise
and just cos he is aussie dont mean he has to be followed off a cliff by fellow aussies

No not more likely. I would suggest that quality wingers, left or right, are more likely to get injured. The fact that quality left wingers are harder to come by means finding one that has
a) has the required quality, and
b) stay fit for long periods of time
is not easy.
In regard to his claims of being world class i should correct that. He was world class, has not been for some time now.
He still has the ability to be very effective on our left side though and be better than most left wingers in the PL assuming he plays even at his 05/06 level which IMO was about 60-70% of his best. He was however consistent and I believe Riise plays much better with Harry as he has confidence to get forward and play more like a wingback which is imo Riise true position.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24
