Harry, unfortunately, has this season to prove to someone he is still capable of playing consistently enough at the level required to earn a contract. I am one of his biggest fans but i suspect if he breaks down again between now and then he may struggle to get it, LFC or not.

I wish him luck because he deserves some luck (and we need him on the LW)

While you lot go on about him picking up his money for doing nothing, I ask you: what line of work are you in that when you are sick you don’t get paid by your employers? Many people hate their job so the take a sicky and STILL GET PAID.

Also, he’s at one of the world’s best and biggest clubs, as well as being (on paper at least) the most gifted lefty to grace the red shirt for 2-3 years. So WHY would he shirk playing? What reason does he have not to play 90 minutes every weekend and live the dream? Why whould anyone CHOOSE to leave the field of play during the first half of the biggest club game in the world?

Out of interest what level of football did you play. I had trails for West Ham and Tottenham and was accepted at both places, but I turned both of them down I then played football at Conference level for many years.

With regard to getting paid. I am a Consutant paid on a daily basis, if I am sick I get nothing

I like the "on paper at least" quote that really sums him up. I have never been on record as saying Kewell shirks playing, however, when he plays IMO he shirks.

Yes he seems to impress Rafa, maybe he plays better during practice, some players are like that, he just does not have the competative edge. Rafa just yesterday was praising him up, he is hardly going to slag him off. 1; for confidence reasons and 2: because Rafa fecked up by not buying an out and out winger during the window, now he is trying to justify his faith in Kewell

At the end of the day does it matter, IMO harry doesn't carry the weight of expectation he once did any more, due to the amount of times he's been out injured.

If he comes back and plays great, then superb, the people who've always backed him will be happy and maybe a bit smug, and the people who don't back him will still be happy and maybe a bit bitter. He might get a new deal or he might get shipped out we'd just have to wait and see.

If he comes back and gets injured again, then it's no more than many will have expected. He'll probably not get his contract renewed for us and he'll have to seek employment elsewhere if he's even able to continue playing. The people who don't support him will probably be happy that he's gone, and those that do support him will probably be unhappy but will realise he had his chance and circumstances beyond anyones control meant he couldn't fulfill his potential.

We'll all support him the same when he plays appart from the odd heckler, but thats to be expected and he's just got to try and win back those supporters who;ve lost faith in him.

I didn't play at any level, a very complicated ankle injury when I was 10 stopped my career even before it had started.

I have a few friends who plays in the second highest division in Sweden and I know from watching them get back after an injury how tough it's.

Why do you think Rafa has faith in Kewell year in year out. He has had the money to sign a winger so it can't be a money problem.

Maybe, just maybe Rafa thinks that he can't get a winger that you for sure can say offers more to the team than Kewell.

Kewell is a team player whatever your fantasies tells you. He works his socks off in every game, whatever your fantasies tells you.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

im one of his harshest critics Ill have you know.

But you base your argument (calling him a ******) on nothing.

How is it his fault that he is injured, or getting paid what he is?

                    He has delivered!!...... albeit sporadically.

When he joined the club he was playing some of the best football we have seen for many years. He then got a nasty ankle injury...which he continued to play on for the remainder of the season....does that make him a ******? He has never really been the same since that injury.

So if YOU want to blame someone, blame the club, the have misdiagnosed Kewell (The hernia which caused him to tear his groin of the bone), and they have mistreated his injuries trying to get him on the park, ather than get him right. Is it his fault that he wanted to keep playing, even though he was clearly not 100% fit? Surely not.

                    lame brain aye????

Turned down trials at West Ham and Tottenham, more like Bognor Regis

Assassin - you are not understanding our argument. Sure u have the right to be disappointed with Harrys output over the last few years, we all are. What we dont understand is how u can abuse him and call him names like ******, etc. Why the need to personally attack him? We know he has been injured a lot, but that doesnt make him a bad person...
