As I said earlier in this thread lame brain: Injuries apart, he has not delivered.

Try using some 20/20 vision rather than looking through your patriotic glasses.

Kewell has been a waste of money and is a constant drain on the clubs resources*

Another crap post by a very crap poster I'm not surprised.

Kewell has delivered every time he has been fit. He was one of our best players the last time he played several months in a row for us.

I don't think a Kewell hater like you will change your record so it's pointless to discuss anything with you about him.

You can't even understand some FACTS.

It's not Kewell's fault that he is injured.
It's not Kewell's fault that he is payed £60k/week.
He could have got more from other clubs but he choosed us because he loves the club, he is Liverpool fan you know.
He works his socks off in every game.
He is our best left winger by a mile.
You are a waste of my time, now crawl back under a stone or something.

I hope that you don't answer because I would then need to use several seconds to read your post and that is a waste of time.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

It's a sad indictment of the state of the left side of our midfield that we're crying out for the return of an unfit, and to be fair, past his best Harry Kewell. All that money spent and we still have problems on the left side of midfield.

Maddening isn't it. And you can add to that the RIGHT side of midfied imho too. And 1 Premiership proven goalscoring striker. At this moment in time, we simply didn't need Pennant AND Benayoun (one as a squaddie would have done), and a top quality RMer in. Similarly Left midfield / wing.

Leiva may aslo turn out to be an excellent buy, but AT THIS MOMENT we didn't need to spend that money on him either, when we had greater needs elsewhere in the 1st 11 right now.

Leiva would have moved to another club if we had not signed him and then we would have missed out on another good player. We have the money to sign a left midfield player, at least if you believe Rafa, so the money we spent on Lucas and Benayoun had nothing to do with it.

I do agree about you about Kewell, we need a better player than him on the left because he will probably never be the player he once was but he is at this moment our best option on the left by a mile even if he won't be 100% and that is a problem.

We need better wingers, both on the left and right.

It's not Kewell's fault that he is injured. Bull****, always turns out for Australia when he is not fully fit and then gets injured again
It's not Kewell's fault that he is payed £60k/week. Agree, this is Houlliers fault
He could have got more from other clubs but he choosed us because he loves the club, he is Liverpool fan you know. Heresay, nothing more, nothing less
He works his socks off in every game. Untrue

This forum is about opinions, my opinion is Kewell isnt all what you and others make him out to be, he has played a couple of cameo roles in his career, that does not constitute him being a great player

**** I just wasted some more seconds of my life reading another crap post

You do know that it's a fact that it was Rafa who wanted Kewell to play for Australia so he would play some competitive games but you will probably deny that and come up with another fantasy answer.

                  Oh, I don't know when he's leaving,
                  Or where he's gonna go,
I guess he's got his reasons,
He's always injured as you know,
                  'Cos for f**kin five years
I've been waitin to support Harry.
Harry, who the **** is Harry

Spent five years just waiting for a chance,
To show us how he's feeling, maybe get a second chance,
Now I've got to get used to not waitin no more for harry...

Fact, possibly this time, but you conveniantly forget all the other times, under Ged.....

For the record, if Kewell manages to stay in employment with us and turns out to be as good as you profess him to be. I will be the first to stand up and apologise. However, this will be based upon at least half a season of playing, not a couple of games........

Only those who’ve never played above secondary school level will understand what it’s like to be injured as a player.

While you lot go on about him picking up his money for doing nothing, I ask you: what line of work are you in that when you are sick you don’t get paid by your employers? Many people hate their job so the take a sicky and STILL GET PAID.

Also, he’s at one of the world’s best and biggest clubs, as well as being (on paper at least) the most gifted lefty to grace the red shirt for 2-3 years. So WHY would he shirk playing? What reason does he have not to play 90 minutes every weekend and live the dream? Why whould anyone CHOOSE to leave the field of play during the first half of the biggest club game in the world?

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

That interview is fantastic. I was very hopeful for his prospects this season after that interview which if I am not mistaken was 4-5 months ago. I hope a lot of people watch that just for the insight into what he goes through.

Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

                          Interesting interview there as well.
Those who have a constant dig at Kewell are just thick, ignorant morons really, no understanding of Harry's injuries and lack of fitness due to sheer bad luck.
Sure you can frustrated with the way things have turned out for him at Liverpool but aren't we all and you have to remember Harry himself will be 100times more frustrated than any of us.
Get off his back ffs and support him whislt he's still a member of the Liverpool squad.

Actually AFII is not "spot on". You are entitled to 6 months sick pay at full pay then 6 months at half pay, then nothing.

Seriously why does this matter? Is it envy?

He a professional footballer, they work on short term but strong contracts. He is 29 and if he breaks down again it may be the end of his career (?). He's not happy about it nor is the club, team mates and most of the fans.

Well it doesn't matter, but AFII was talking as though people get 100% sick pay indefinitely, which they don't
