a lot more to come from this lad hopefully, just needs to get a ****ing haircut!Originally posted by pablo1981 View PostHope so. It was a cool strike to win us the penalty. Well it was a goal really wasnt it. Riise has a similar chance and blasted over. He showed great composure to slot it in. Didnt look overawed by the occassion, got plenty of tackles in, passed the ball well, and got in the right place at the right time which is a great skill for a midfielder. Well done lad.

How about giving a penalty but not allowing a goalkeeper?Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostDWW made the same point in the pub today, and it is hard to argue against it because giving a goal is clearly the most just outcome.
But can you really ever give a goal under circumstances where the ball hasn't crossed the line? Kind of goes against the ethos of football (although admittedly so do the Neville antics we saw today)

With Lucas and Babel on the team had a youthful edge about it that was exciting to watch. We should have scored 3-4 times in the last 20 minutesOriginally posted by pablo1981 View PostHope so. He looks a very special player, always seems to have time on the ball, has an eye for the right pass, and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
Him alongside Mascherano gave the midfield a great balance and calm, if those two of the future of Liverpool's central midfield we have a lot to look forward to.
His first pass to pick out Voronin was sublime.

I was totally gutted for Lucas yesterday, he had the opportunity to kick off his LFC prem career with the winner in the derby but was robbed by that manc c&#t. That would have given the boy some amount of confidence, something that much of the team (Gerrard, Momo in particular) is missing at the moment. Looking forward to seeing more of him."I'm sorry you'll have to speak up I'm wearing a towel".
