Individuals make up part of a team though, Fredo, and getting the right individuals together is a big part of getting the right team.

Momo has always been a poor passer of the ball, it's nothing to do with form. When we're playing well he can sometimes get away with it by limiting himself to short balls, but that's not good enough for someone who usually plays as our furthest forward CM player. With Lucas having come in, and Benayoun being able to play attacking CM, we've got plenty of quality in that position. If we keep hold of Mascherano and get a significant bid for Momo, why would we need to hold on to him?

Even if players are 'components' of a team, it's still a team game. Players don't play for themselves. He brings other attributes to our side, passing not one of his strengths, I agree. We could go on and on and on pinpointing players' deficiencies if we reason like that.

If Lucas can fit in straight away and show the form that made him Brazil's best player last season, then he will deserve it and probably Rafa would have to make a choice, but I don't think they are similar players. What momo brings, Lucas doesn't.

So, in that sense, Rafa is probably juggling with all the different qualities which his players are bringing to the 'team'. It's a difficult thing to do, he will get it right as well as wrong. Part and parcel of the game.

As for Momo, it's up to him to prove his doubters wrong. I will stand by him as long as he's a LFC player.

I'm just trying to defend some of players Rushie. I can't stand some of the ****e being bandied about each time Momo misplaces a pass. Who on earth is perfect ? By standing by him, Rafa will improve him, no doubt about that.
