discussion is only acceptable if it agrees with the Leader then?

i'm sure i can list many football managers who technically know more than you, but that you'd criticise elements of their approach.

or is your argument that rafa is flawless?

If this is your argument then wtf didn't he take Kuyt off??!!!!

You are absolutely clueless. I have no more time for you.

Lucas made a big difference and almost scored the winning goal. What more do people want??!

i was calling for Lucas to be brought on at half time. its not about who came on, its about who came off, and what it says about the negativity of the manager's mindset to keep two defensive midfielders on the park against ten men. that's pretty much my sole point

I tend to agree with you about Momo bu this argument is a little facile. Why would Rafa necessarily give a completely honest view to the press? Surely he thinks about the reaction of the players etc.

While I don't think Momo had as bad a game as many make out I thin they are entitled to state an opinion and expect to have it listened to even if it is different from that expressed by Rafa.

I'm not sure that it was a negative decision from that point of view. I think it shows that Rafa has no faith in our wide midfielders at the minute. Keeping two defensive midfielders on the park allowed Finnan and Riise to push on, which they did.

Rafa said time after time how good Bellamy played and he was sold. Rafa will always make the comments that is best for the team.

Sissoko didn't play any good but if Rafa had come out and said that to the press then his confidence would be even lower.

He said the things about Gerrard because he saw that Gerrard needed a wake up call IMO. I also think that he took off Stevie just because of that.

He made a gamble and it may pay off the rest of the season. If we want to win the league then Stevie will have to play better. Rafa knows that and so do we.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We won but in my view it was despite Rafa and not because of him.

Rafa has done some truely brilliant things for the club but his decisions at times are baffling in the extreme. Yesterday I don't know one fan that agreed with substituting SG and just because we won doesn't make it the right decision. To substitue him for playing with his heart was a joke. If thats the case then he'd better substitute Carra every game because he always plays with his heart.

Foe me this is a massive season for Rafa. He must show that he understands how to win the English league because for all his European brilliance he has yet to show us that.
Agree with all of that mate

                    You sidetracked the issue AGAIN.
Kuyt could not be subbed just like Carra because there were no better alternatives. This was not the case with SG.

You have been absolutely clueless since KT times, infact your getting worse.

                    Don`t answer this post.

There wasn't a worse player on the pitch.

Maybe it's all simply down to "karma" and, in that sense counter acts us getting robbed by styles and malouda. These things usually even out over a season. It was just our turn to have the rub of the green.

I said on here on Saturday morning when I saw the 1st 11 that Rafa's tactics were due a win. He has had mixed results with his tactics on a whole as LFC manager, however his tactics have been rewarded in big games on numerous occasions. I am much more concerned about his tactics against the like of pompey and the brummies. These are the teams you have to beat 90% of the time to finish top of the league.

I wonder if we fielded a regular spine of players for such games (less rotation), and gave the team a chance to gel would we see a marked improvement? You’d think so, apparently Rafa doesn’t agree, only time will tell.
