After Lucas came on we started dominating play and retaining the ball better.
Then we created 4 clear chances quite quickly, one which lead to the goal. With more clinical finishing we should have scored the 2nd before we did.

What ? It's not blind faith and I don't understand why you're thinking that. Momo was a revelation for the best part of 1 and a half seasons and has lost confidence. Some of you, are jumping to conclusions too often for my opinion and rehashing the same arguments over and over again when we're all clueless in the end.

I have my own opinions as to why we're playing ****e atm but why bother spending countless amounts of energy discussing it when you're labelled as a fool for doing so, or for being 'up Rafa's arse' ?

For your govern, I'm loyal to LFC and I'm behind the team because that's my role. To support. I don't know what is difficult to understand in that. If most of us did that, we probably would release the pressure a little bit off the players shoulders and they would be getting about their job a bit easier.

He has other qualities. But he still found the space and made the movement to free himself when he got that glorious chance towards the end mate, which he blowed up through a lack of composure. That's just a very harsh assessment on Momo. Do you really feel Rafa would try to protect him and would give him chance after chance to redeem himself if he wasn't sure the lad had talent ?

I may be proved wrong, but Momo can be a fantastic player when he's on top form. Don't fall into the trap that others say he's ****e mate, because he isn't.

He may well never make it at Liverpool, the future will reveal it soon. He may well want to move to Juventus and his head may not be right. That's all speculation anyway.

They were shattered, and I reckon Rafa was being patient and waiting for the last 15 minutes to strike, when the air was running out of Everton.

I reckon Rafa wanted Momo on to do some donkey work, which was a contribution to wearing Everton down in the end. He needed his running.

I do agree that Momo has extreme limitations, but think the subbing had to do with differing roles in the team. That said, I reckon Momos days are numbered, and I, for one, am quite pleased with that. He can't pass the ball. Any LFC player should be able to pass the ****ing ball.

But, disregarding the Sissoko issue, wasn't what I said in my previous post more or less what happened on the pitch?
However baffling that decision seemed, we did dominate.
Wether we would have done that with SG and Lucas too, we will never know. We can only assume.

I think it's clear why Rafa plays him now. He want Momo to be match fit so we can get a fair price for him in January.

If you look at Juventus central midfielders then Sissoko would walk into the starting XI straight away so the deal will probably happen.

i think thats one of the stupidest comments you have ever made, do you honestly believe rafa would willingly play someone that he thinks it not god enough just to keep him match fit, rafa would never do something like that in a million years, he only thinks of the team, and now when we have financial backing i doubt he would be risking the results for a million or two...

People on here are slagging the manager for not taking momo off but he was obviously doing the job he was briefed to do. And doing it better than the job that gerrard was briefed to do. He and gerrard aren't like for like players so to say he should have taken momo off instead of gerrard shows a lack of understanding of respective roles.

His role in the side isn't as explosive as Gerrard's so you can't make direct comparisons - he's a more limited destructive player. In that role he was doing a pretty good job, because the bitters kept resorting to the long ball to bypass the midfield.

The fact that Rafa felt he needed a Momo type out there - as you put it, rather than Gerrard, against 10 men - is what concerns me.

Spot on. I would like to state for the record that people who can't acknowledge this fact probably never played real football in their life. The substitution was a power move from Rafa to show Gerrard who's boss. That is the ONLY possible sane explanation.

We have Kuyt on with a BIG yellow. Momo who only connects 2/3 of his passes without being under pressure.

Rafa opted to take our best player off because he wanted to send a message. He knows Lucas is quality and that we have a good chance pulling a win without Gerrard on the pitch in a 11 vs 10 2nd half.

It's the only viable intelligent explanation.

It was "The message" Rafa style. I just think it was bad timing but I have to admit that I don't know whats going behind the scene. If Gerrard (In Rafas opinion) has been giving in to complacency then the move was ballsy and spot on.

I just doubt that he will get the best out of Gerrard this way...

Be loyal to LFC Fredo...we all are. But some of us are not loyal to players who aren't loyal to the shirt. Momo's comments have illustrated that he would rather play for another club hence why I couldn't give a toss whether he rots in the reserves.
