What 'Sami-bashing'? Apart from AFII's ridonculous suggestion about Hobbs, I don't think anyone has said anything which isn't at least understandable..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Hyppia has years of experience. I think he should fairly know how to counteract Walcott's threat isn't it ?Originally posted by AFII View PostHyypia has been at fault for our last three goals. He lost two simple headers against Spurs and the own goal against Everton.
Hobbs can't be any worse than Hyypia if you consider how bad Hyypia has played the last games.
I don't want to see Hyypia up against Walcott, I really don't.

It wasn't aimed at you Neil. It was a reference to what AFII posted about Sami, which in my view, is unfair.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostWhat 'Sami-bashing'? Apart from AFII's ridonculous suggestion about Hobbs, I don't think anyone has said anything which isn't at least understandable.

I fear for Sami with his lack of mobility against the very mobile Walcott, Fabregas, Hleb, Roisicky etc.Originally posted by fredo View PostAre Slavia a pub team ?
I can't understand the Sami bashing in this thread.
Playing Sami will mean we will have to play deep which in turn means a different type of game, one where Arsenal have a lot of the possession, and with their brand of pass and move this is not good.We come not to play.

If Sami had been a 20 year old defender then he would have been slaughtered in here but now he we will just say that he had a few bad games because he is a legend.Originally posted by fredo View PostAre Slavia a pub team ?

How would you have reacted if Hobbs had done the same mistakes as Hyypia the last two games?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Are you suggesting Hobbs should come in because Hyypia won't be able to counter Walcott's aerial threat?Originally posted by AFII View PostHyypia has been at fault for our last three goals. He lost two simple headers against Spurs and the own goal against Everton.

He can play a lot worse than Hyypia because he's inexperienced and it might ruin his career. I don't mean to be offensive to you personally but it is the most stupid suggestion I've ever read on here..

I think that makes a lot of sense but the only alternative is Arbeloa. If Torres is fit though sitting relatively deep and playing on the counter, while anathema given we're at home, may suit us so Hyypia may not be the end of the world.Originally posted by Frodo View PostI fear for Sami with his lack of mobility against the very mobile Walcott, Fabregas, Hleb, Roisicky etc.

IF Adebayor plays then playing Sami may be good as he can try and battle his physical threat (he did not however do very well vs. Berbatov)Originally posted by Neil Young View PostAre you suggesting Hobbs should come in because Hyypia won't be able to counter Walcott's aerial threat?

The good thing is Van Persie is injured (well bad cus he is in almost all my dream teams
)
If Arsenal pull our defenders all over the place that is when Sami is going to find he has problems. We come not to play.

Sami is a bit of a worry but I think we have to go with him and hope that Mascher (and/or a fit Alonso) cover him well so he won't be exposed one on one with any of them. In many ways the best way for our team to counter Arsenals attacking threat will be to prevent the creative influence of Fabregas and to use a well drilled offside trap. Key to the latter is experience and comfort playing with your CB partner, despite the dip in the Spurs game, I think Carra and Sami are our best partnership when Agger is out."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I reckon Rafa will play Momo to counter Fabregas and provide the support in the quick breaksOriginally posted by dww View PostSami is a bit of a worry but I think we have to go with him and hope that Mascher (and/or a fit Alonso) cover him well so he won't be exposed one on one with any of them.
