Voronin was equally poor. Riise was worse.

They're clearly our weak links IMO and I'd sell them all tomorrow.

Our home record is frustratingly poor and our league position looks distressing. In reality things aren't bad - we remain unbeaten while playing, for the most part, abysmally.

Things will start looking up when Agger returns and Torres gets fit. Oh, and things would also start looking up if Peter Crouch was given some ****ing game time instead of those two headless chickens.

that is what cisse and bellamy couldent buy into and why kuyt plays all the time

Perhaps Frodo, personally I would prefer it if we played actual football than spent most of the game trying to destroy the opponents ability to play football.

It hardly worked today, Arsenal popped the ball about wonderfully at times despite having all these "grafters" in our team.

We couldn't get near 'em. What's the point in having people like Dirk Sissoko in the side when he just gives the ball back every time he gets it?

It was fairly embarrassing at times and there's little doubt Arsenal are a much better side than us.

I wish we'd have played Babel and Yossi in the wide areas. Why play workhorses in attacking positions? I'm sick of it. We've got four defenders and two holding midfield players. WHY are we playing defensive forwards? A 'defensive forward' ought to be an oxymoron but Voronin and Kuyt are proving they do exist.

            How depressing.

I wouldnt go as far as excellent, but Kuyt showed an improvement today and worked harder than ever, and was alot better than Voronin. I thought it was a fairly even match, yes Arsenal had a lot of possession but it was only late on that gaps started appearing-after Xabi went off and Macsher and JC looked injured. We created a lot of chances but needed to take them, an old lesson which we never seem to learn.

We looked like the away team today. The truth is we look light years away from arsenal at the moment.

Riise is a piss poor player. kuyt and vrononin looked like championship players out there today. Once again we were scared to go and beat a team, we were set up not to lose today, Babel and Benayoun should have both started today imo.

Sorry if I am repeating anything but I got fed up of reading how **** we were on page 1 so skipped to the end.

IMO today was a good game of football and we lookedas likely to score as Arsenal did. They outpassed us no question but if Almunia had not been on top of his game we could have had 3 or 4. They also could have had 3 or 4. All in all a draw was probably the fairest result. So considering they are playing so well and with so much confidence and with no injury problems it probably was not a bad result. To read the **** I just have suggests we are relegation fodder and we have just lost a 6 pointer against Derby!

We are struggling at the moment but I think there is a huge reason for it. Everyone is asking if it is a coincidence that we have been poor since Pako left or is it a coincidence. I have not seen so many askng if it is a coincidence that we have looked poor since our best passing defender and our best passing midfielder have been out!!! I think Agger is a huge loss. He passes from the back and allows us to keep the ball. Hyypia and Carra do hoof the ball and it is is harder to hang on to it. We have had an unbelievable run of injuries to key players. It is not November yet but at some stage this season we have lost Carra, Gerrard, Alonso, Agger, and Torres to injury. All of these I would put in our top top class of player. Yet despite this we are still unbeaten in the league. I hear some say Rafa does not know his best team. I think he probably does but he has not been able to put it on the pitch yet!

Come on, are things really that bad??

no argument here mate, but with 15 minutes to play 1-0 up and backs up against the wall id pick alonso over gerrard for defensive purposes every time. alonso is as important as didi was to filling that hole but doesnt get the recognition for it

I don't think it helped when Alonso went off Arbeloa went into midfield.

It would have been better to have gone 442 and look to kill the game.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

We just werent at the races today, thats all. We improved second half, and I really believed we could hang on, but a draw was probably a fair result in the end. Gerrard player better, the defence was pretty solid, and Crouch just proved how valuable he is coming off the bench. Reina shoudlve saved the goal, but I know criticism of Pepe isnt allowed here

Overall, not a bad result considering the football Arsenal are playing at the moment.

Our biggest problem at the moment is keeping the ball and passing it along the floor. Too often were just punting it forward and giving it straight back to the opposition.

Carragher is a legend. Stevie is finding his form again and Mascherano was just sublime.

Voronin however is ****ing howling. What an awful player, he cant even control the ball. It makes no sense to play him.

Kuyt is different though, he isnt great but he works his socks off. He is a support striker, not a centre forward. He was asked to play right mid today and defensively he did a good job
Pretty much agree with these sentiments. I lost count of the number of times Sami and Riise in particular hoofed it forward aimlessly hoping Torres could chase down a lost cause.

When you play a team like Arsenal who are excellent in position the last thing you want to be doing is constantly giving the ball back to them.

We lack pace and imagination. All our attacks looked so laboured and ponderous compared to the speed that Arsenal moved at.

I find lot of the Kuyt bashing on this thread distasteful. He did a solid job down the right side. He didn't do anything spectacular but he didn't do anything wrong either. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but he's a player I have a lot of time for.

Voronin was shocking - the worst player on the pitch. His touch was ****e and his work rate was poor.
