He isnt exaggerating though, Kuyt is woeful.

Any dutch coach who'd choose him as his 1st choice striker is clearly hoping for an imminent case of unemployment.

I think you need to look at which team that have won the PL the last seasons.

Man U and Chelsea, why?

They spend a lot of money on high quality players and have/had a great manager.

If you want to win the league then you must spend a lot of money and have a great manager.

Man U buy Tevez, we buy Kuyt as our second striker for example. You can't win the league with a team of £10m players. You need the £20m+ players that will decide games like the one today against City.

Kuyt cost £2m less than Ronaldo.

Santa Cruz cost Blackburn peanuts.

Anelka cost Bolton £8m.

But we aren't going to sign such players so what's the point in even bringing them up. We aren't going to sign Berbatov either.

I know that, it didn't mentioned anyone else than Berbatov. He is a realistic target IMO, why shouldn't he be that if Rafa want him?

I don't know if Rafa want him or not but you get my point. We are Liverpool and should be able to afford one £20m player/window if Rafa want that.

We need more high quality players upfront, that is a fact.

Kuyt for example probably need 10 chances to score a goal and a player like Berbatov, Anelka, Benzema and a lot of other players will only need three, four or maybe five chances before they score a goal.

That is a huge difference and will decide if we have a chance to win the league or not.

Kuyt didn't cost £20m because he isn't a high quality player. We paid £10m for a player that is worth around £10m.

If we had spent £20m on Berbatov for example then we would have had a bigger chance to win the league.

You can't blame just Kuyt for today's rubbish performance. The problems, inefficiency, inconstancy and everything else goes a lot further then Kuyt been rubbish today.

I would say our biggest problem is the wing. Kewell is ****ing useless, he has been since he first got here, Pennant has 1 good game in 15 when he isn't injured, Babel isn't a true winger and nor is Benayoun.

When is someone at the club going to grow some balls and say no we will not buy another $10m+ striker this off-season we are going to buy a winger that is a true ****ing winger. If we had one real world class winger on either side we could cover the cracks of Kuyt, Crouch, Voronin etc.

I think we are generally fine everywhere else, and we can look at improving other position's like LB, another Striker and backup CB later, go out and either sign the best world class winger you can or the next world class winger no matter what the cost. No more bull****, we should have spent the extra money to bring Ronaldo when we had the chance.

It's very simple.

Messi for example gives you a better chance to win the league than Kuyt.

But Berbatov costed 11m at around the same time. So how can you say that Berbatov is a 20m player and Kuyt is a 10m one. If we sell Kuyt for 20m that does make him a 20m player but it doesn't make him a better one. Look at Darren Bent for **** sake.

Also in EPL Berbatov hasn't been that great, he's been overhyped for ****ing up the ****e Spurs play in the UEFA cup. Only 12 goals in the league last season. I know he's a much better player than Kuyt who I think is **** but still it's not a great return.

I agree we need to allocate more money in certian areas but I don't agree we can't get the quality of player required for the 10m mark. Because I sure as hell know I'd rather have Alonso to Carrick or Hargreaves for example.
