But Berbatov costed 11m at around the same time. So how can you say that Berbatov is a 20m player and Kuyt is a 10m one. If we sell Kuyt for 20m that does make him a 20m player but it doesn't make him a better one. Look at Darren Bent for **** sake.

Also in EPL Berbatov hasn't been that great, he's been overhyped for ****ing up the ****e Spurs play in the UEFA cup. Only 12 goals in the league last season. I know he's a much better player than Kuyt who I think is **** but still it's not a great return.

I agree we need to allocate more money in certian areas but I don't agree we can't get the quality of player required for the 10m mark. Because I sure as hell know I'd rather have Alonso to Carrick or Hargreaves for example.

Berbatov hasnt completely convinced me in the goalscoring department, but with better players, it's likely he'd score more.

The point is that Torres usually scores goals and everyone misses chances. I'm pissed off that Torres missed today but he's usually reliable and makes up for it. Kuyt is poor regularly and the frustration builds up. If Kuyt had scored 15 goals this season, i wouldnt mind so much, but he KEEPS being a weak link and it's ****ing costing us points.

Kinell mate, you're a bright poster...Torres usually delivers, Kuyt usually embarrasses himself. No striker takes every chance they get, they all miss sitters. Kuyt misses them regularly and doesnt make up for it. Torres misses his share, but also has 15 goals to point to.

It's fairly obvious why i'd point the finger at kuyt and not Torres.

You seem to be saying that Kuyt is THE reason we didn't win today. And given that Torres missed double the sitters that he did (and arguably easier sitters) then I'd say that's not fair to pick out one man and say "you're the sole reason we have 1 point instead of 3".

I'd never play Kuyt unless I had to, and I think Torres is the bees knees but that's not the point of this particular exchange.

It`s a pity you didn`t lend Moores the extra 10 million to buy one of these 20million pound strikers before he had to lend the club 10 mill to buy Kuyt.

That's fair but so far he hasn't been that good when he play from the start.

I have already said that Nemeth should get a chance, he can't be any worse finisher than Voronin or Kuyt and we need a more clinical striker upfront together with Torres, so the opposition can't only concentrate to mark Torres out of the game.

How many times do i need to say this? Yes, Torres missed chances but every striker does and when they score the goals Torres does, it's forgivable.

In Kuyt's case, there's little you can find to balance out all the negatives.
