Yeah I am with you, go with the youngsters / reserves . players with something to prove or in need of games to get match fit, Aim to go as far as possible and lets look for future stars .. I like what I am hearing about Hobbs .. I would like for him to get as much game time as possible

He is still out injured and will probably also miss the Blackburn game. I doubt that Rafa will take any chances with him after what happened to Torres and Alonso.

He deserves more of a chance IMO. He is still adapting and should be given time to settle at his age. The league cup offers the best environement for him to pick up experience.

On a side note: I wonder whether long term he might be able to adapt to be an Ashley Cole style attacking LB as his height would be a real asset there..

I think more pressingly at present he offers the only source of real pace inour attacking quartet and needs to get some more games under his belt. I'd be happy to see him either as the main forward or tasked to be one of those tasked to join from deeper.

I know, Rafa will do his utmost to get victory.

But like i said at the last round, playing key players like Carragher is a big mistake when we have such important league and champions league games over the next couple of weeks
