just want to see benni get a chance in the middle wher he can cause damage....plus we need to get aurelio fit so put him in a left midfield (or leto midfield and aurelio left back)

But like i said at the last round, playing key players like Carragher is a big mistake when we have such important league and champions league games over the next couple of weeks

It would be if we had a full stregth defence but we havent and Carra is more up to playing 3 times a week than Sami is.

Im saying that i think our back up reserve centre-halfs should be capable of handling the Cardiff city attack and this would be a good test for them.

I wouldnt be too upset if we failed to progress with this cup. Better than having Carragher tired for the next game

I think we'll see Carra with Arbeloa, give then 60 mins to see how they go with a view to them pairing up on Saturday. Carra then coming off for Hobbs.

i remember benitez saying one of the reasons he didn't mind missing out on heinze was riise could play centre half....that in mind i think he might stick arbeloa and riise together at centre half, hopefully bringing hobbs on at some stage for experience

hey, rafa's words not mine! but i do think sami and carra need a rest cause with agger out atleast 16 days more, they got games against blackburn, besiktas and fulham in a week to think about...maybe riise playing centre half wouldn't be that bad. hahahaha

I think it'll be hobbs and carra in the middle, think Arbeloa needs game time in one of his more usual positions and with aurelio coming back he can cover LB, and going by Finnans recent performances I think he just needs a rest so Arbeloa can get a chance in his prefered RB spot
