David Villa – Valencia: With Valencia struggling in the champions League and the realisation they will not challenge the likes of FC Barcelona or Real Madrid anytime in the near future, Villa will look to move abroad and Liverpool is his number 1 choice of destination largely due to the Spainish contingent. He will form the deadliest strikeforce in Europe alongside his Spainish team mate Torres. Javier Mascherano will sign permanently – fact. Gabriel Hienze will make the move he originally wanted coming back to England. Ricardo Quaresma – FC Porto: Move unlikely to happen until the Summer. Joe Cole – Chelsea$ki: With Joe Cole unhappy about his position behind Malouda, it is well known he is not happy at the Chavs and Rafa is a big admirer. Steven Taylor – Newcastle United: It's well known that Rafa is a big admirer of this lad and will look to bring him in as the third choice CB, Hyypia will stay but play very infrequently. Newcastle would prefer to keep him but the chance to play Champions League football will be to much to turn down and Taylor will ask to leave. OUTS: Voronin will leave, he has been quite solid but Rafa knows that he cannot seriously challenge for the title with Voronin leading the line. Crouch was Rafa's original choice to go but he will soon realise how valuable Crouch is especially after the Besiktas match. Pennant will also leave in the Summer as long as Liverpool secure Quaresma. Riise will move, possibly to Chelsea as part of the Joe Cole signing alternatively Newcastle as part of the Taylor acquisition. Scott Casron will move permanently to Aston Villa. Lastly Momo Sissoko will move to Real Madrid as part of the Hienze deal. + MB+
    I like this part.
The info has to come from Montse as it states that Rafa will change his mind.
The only person that knows that I will change my mind before I do is the wife, probably the same in the Benitez household

Rafa plays with one central striker with another withdrawn one and he prefers the goals to come from all over the pitch. Yossi, Stevie and Babel aren't recognized strikers yet they scored 6 of our goals on Tuesday.
I don't think Rafa will sell any of our strikers in January either. But there's no doubting that we need one more top class striker to replace Voronin or preferably Kuyt.

And I'm afraid using Tuesday as an example isn't exactly a good indication of how great our midfielders are in front of goal. I prefer to use the season so far rather than 90 minutes of football. We need one top class striker/forward in addition to Torres and Crouch.

Sure but that's the general idea which Rafa is striving for. I really think he's satisfied with the strikers he has at his disposal. Voronin and Kuyt will never be prolific but the way they play and their unselfishness means that they will create chances for others. Rafa has gone for specific type of players to suit a specific idea. That's my take on it.

Chiellini yet to sign new Juventus contract
          tribalfooball.com - November 07, 2007

Giorgio Chiellini admits he's yet to sign a new contract at Juventus.

The young defender has impressed at centre-half in recent weeks and said: "The club had told me that we would meet for the renewal of my contract before the first match with Inter. But it has not yet happened.

"However, I believe that we will meet soon and there will be no problems.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                    That was the Cofie kid.
We`ll probably have to pay more for him, so it`s up to Rafa to decide how high we`ll go. Lots of other clubs are after the kid as well.

I think Heinze will sign in January, together with Kenwyne Jones*. Riise will go, as will *Kuyt (to Sunderland where his work rate will do wonders for them -I am serious - and where he will probably score a few goals as well).

Moutinho calm over Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs interest
                          tribalfooball.com - November 08, 2007

A host of Premiership clubs were represented at Sporting Lisbon's 2-2 draw with Roma last night to see Joao Moutinho in action.

Newcastle, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Portsmouth all had scouts in the stands and Moutinho remarked afterwards: "I do not know which clubs were here, I do not know of the interest of anyone, but I have to continue to do my work.

"If clubs are interested, then that's good, but it only gives me more motivation to work and achieve better results."

Man City boss Eriksson checked on Liverpool's Crouch
                            tribalfootball.com - November 08, 2007

Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is maintaining interest in Liverpool striker Peter Crouch.

Eriksson would love to bring the England international to City in January and was at Anfield on Tuesday night to see the centre-forward score twice in the Reds' 8-0 thrashing of Besiktas.
