Riqueleme would be a no-no. Just too lazy. I mean yeah, i said 'sod the hard working bollocks' and i stand by that. But work ethic ALONGSIDE world class ability is fine. AKA Torres & Gerrard. But nah, Riqueleme would give up as soon as he got closed down and kicked to the ground.

Deco's on a downward slope now, definitely wouldnt want him.

I'd want someone fresh, exciting and full of impact. Both of those two have seen their best days and will go downhill.

Heard lots of good things, but i've not seen him so i cant say.

Couple of those lads from Lyon have looked interesting on the few occasions i've seen them. Benzema and Ben Arfa.

Agree with your assessment, but that it is the type of player, i'd be looking for. I'm sure AFII could help us out with who the new up and comers are.

The money's not down to him.

If he had the money he probably would have gone for Samuel Eto'o too in the summer. We already know that Torres is a fantastic player, but he won't play every game, likewise for any impact players or world class players he buys in January or next season.

[AFII] Aguero seems like just that sort of player [AFII]

It is when he spends a whole bundle of it on 4 or 5 average players.

These so called average players are still making us 3 points short of the top in a so called poor run. We have an excellent team, IMO. I can only see one team better than us and its Man Utd. But it's a close call. Time will tell.

The strange thing about yesterday's game was that, with the bench we had, I was always sure we were going to win the game.

It's all well and good talking about these match winning players, the problem is it's blooly hard to sign them. It took us 2 yrs to sign torres. Ronaldo's and Ronaldino's are thin on the ground and every chelski, manure and arse in world football are also trying to sign them.

Why are people sugusting SWP or joe cole, we should be looking at players like Quaresma, people with genuine talent. Not just a good premiership player.
