I heard a rumour on the train to Blackburn that Mellor shagged Finnan's bird.

It has to be true.

Barry is a crackin little player. Very versatile which Rafa loves. He is composed on the ball, great at setpieces and penalty's, can play with both feet and is a workhorse. Add to that his experience as captain of Villa and we are looking at a steal if this rumour is true......I hope this happens

We could do a lot worse. He's comfortable at LB, LM and CM. Better defender than Riise and is a bloody hard worker. Seems like the perfect Rafa player.

I find it hard to believe that MON would let him go though, he is the heart and soul of that AV team.

would love to have Barry, quality player. Also he is good mates with Gerrard, think they roomed together at Euro 2000 and got on really well as the newbies of the squad.
