If anyone actually believes these were the words Kuyt used then they are mental. ****'s sake, why not look for some positives rather than this perpetual ****ing whinging.

Kuyt hasnt been playing the best lately but I do think he was playing well at the start of the season with Torres as partner. The whole team was underperforming, lets hope he can pick himself up and get some goals.

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has spoken out against his growing army of critics, in an astonishing outburst from the normally mild-mannered Dutchman.

Kuyt, who cost £10m from Feyenoord, revealed he spends much of his free time reading internet forums and has been surprised by the level of criticism levelled at him.

He told Dutch magazine Van der Graaf Foot: “After training I like to go home, put up my feet and read the various Liverpool FC forums on my laptop. Lately it seems a lot of the fans have turned against me.”

“It is not upsetting because I know for certain that most of them are fairly clueless about the game. For sure there are people who defend me, and to those people I am grateful. It is apparent that those people know their football but unfortunately it is a small minority.”

“It is a shame it has to be this way but this is the way of the world now.”

Kuyt, who has scored only two Premiership goals this season, and none from open play, missed a hatful of chances at Blackburn recently and feels it was this performance that was the catalyst for the shift in fans’ opinion.

“All it takes is one not-so-good game, and everything changes,” opined the ex-Feyenoord hitman. “I felt I did okay at Ewood Park, but I could have done better with a couple of chances and this is what causes the negative reactions. If those people who are on my back pay attention to the whole match, and not just when I am shooting in the box, then they might learn a little bit about the game.”

Kuyt sat out Liverpool’s last two games, which he feels will be beneficial and is quick to point out he wasn’t dropped or punished for his below-par display against Mark Hughes’ side.

“I know I won’t play all of the games and this week I’ve had a rest, which I probably earned. I expect to be back in the team soon and I will carry on as normal. I have been playing well this season and I hope it continues.”

For the record - HE DIDN'T SAY THAT

He said that if you look at those playing in their main position he has played the most this season - 6 full 90 minute games.
Bash him all you want, but realise Sky's translation was incorrect.

Nowhere does he say he has shown the best form, it's complete and utter bull****.

Is that article for real? If it is he really has his head up his own arse.

I should say, before this spirals out of control, that it ISN’T for real. I made it up. I just sent it to a mate to wind him up and sure enough he’s bitten.

                        I was bored.

Sorry Dirk…if you’re reading this. Oh, I forgot, I made it up.

Sorry but that is wrong, what he said was....

,,Als je een lijstje maakt van spelers die bij Liverpool dit seizoen op de spitspositie hebben gespeeld, sta ik nog altijd bovenaan,’’ aldus Kuyt
If you do a list of the players that has played as a striker this season, then I always be at the top.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Agreed. His body language after those misses at Blackburn was bad. He looked so lost I actually felt sorry for him.

I have doubts over his quality and did before he joined us, but as long as he wears the shirt I will back him on the pitch 100% but supporters do have the right to criticise him IMO.
