That's the one. Does Spanish football for Sky.

All of these developments are worrying and surely some of them are untrue, but there's no smoke without fire.

I knew I should have listened more to Dunk, he always had his reservations with G+T.

That's a much better post than your previous effort.

I was told by someone connected with the club that the Sheikhs were already mentioning the names of players they would like to buy in their first meeting with Rafa. There were obviously other factors in LFC's decision not to go with the DIC consortium, but this I'm not sure if that will hold up as 'proof', but it's something I believe to be true from someone I trust implicitly.

I think it's insulting to reply to a post with the word 'nonsense' without any explanation as to why you believe this to be the case. It has nothing to do with a 'burden of proof', IMO.

BTW - your username...do you have connections to Vienna?

I still believe we would have been better off with the DIC, them mentioning players i believe is them showing off their football knowledge, i wonder whe they they named the likes of Kaka and Ronaldhino? or Banayoun and Lucas?

Anyway this is a mute argument because we got the Uncle's G&H

Surely the issue with DIC was that they were found to be planning a 7 year exit strategy before they had even bought the club.

Hunter was the first to reveal the training ground spat between Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo when they were at Man Yoo. He has contacts in the English dressing rooms as well as Spain and if he says it's serious, then I am definitely worried.

Whatever you say about egos and pissing contests and so on, peel it all back and the root cause of all this is that the yanks came in blowing a trumpet and milked the press about spending shedloads of cash, then handed Rafa 20million net and are now welching on further money by the sounds of it. They've bought into something they don't really seem to understand and clearly do not want to give Rafa the money he needs for the team. I lay the blame squarely at their door. Rafa is an honourable guy, the yanks haven't been completely honourable so far IMO.

Fair point about the one word reply, will try to be more articulate in the future.

I don’t think there was any substance to this claim. IMO - the issue was money for the shareholders.

                              I think everyone remember....

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Id be interested in a definition of 'plaything'. Would they have played around with the club and then sell it to the highest bidder once they go bored? Would they have 'whored' the club and its traditions? Or would they have built a stadium and spent lots of $$ on players and turn the club around quickly cos they have the resources to do that financial crisis or no financial crisis?

I thought the yanks were bringing all this experience of running sporting clubs? but the clubs they own arent exactly winning trophies left, right, and centre. LFC is probably their most successful sports club and it doesnt seem to be a priority with them. Then there was all this other business experience and organisation like media that the club was going to be able to leverage off but whats come of that so far?

Its clear they know as much as I do about running an EPL club much less a club that is as revered as ours and instead of pouncing around they should put up of fu#k off. I sincerely hope I have to eat my words about these guys one day cos they semed quite genuine.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
