You know, I wonder whether maybe Rafa is a rather impatient man, and that perhaps he has asked them to back a deal for Mascha + 1 or 2 others, and has tried to force the issue by saying "well you know, I could take the england job..."

whereas they are just saying " yeh... we'll talk about transfers and money when we come over...not before."
    Really?

If the relationship between them is that bad eventually something will have to give. The club's more important than any individuals and whoever is in charge must do their best to make sure the club moves forward.

I'm thinking that this can't stew for another few weeks until the filth match when G&T will undoubtedly be over.

Imagine the headlines in the press the week before that match when they actually arrive?

Trouble is all this being played out in the press means if we have to sell, we will get shafted on the price as it appears we are desperate to sell.

Just watching 'This Is Anfield' on the LFC channel. Not one call has been about tonights statement from Gillett and Hicks. They're talking about England. Calls about the events of the day have obviously been banned!

To be honest - I'm disappointed in the way Rafa conducted himself yesterday. His 'antics' in the press conference has brought this to everybody's attention - which we could all have done without.

I think Rafa's carry on yesterday was almost mourinhoesque!! The press will turn this into a power struggle ala jose and roman. It's the last thing we need when we should be focusing on getting maximum points in the premiership between now and christmas. Not to mention the small fact of champions league qualification. We should never air our dirty laundry in public. It seems that Rafa was more or less put back in his box yesterday , like it or not the yanks are running the show now and has already been pointed out in this thread they will have a contingency plan in place if Rafa persists in using the media to embaress them. It would be naive to think that they would not consider sacking Rafa and headhunting the likes of Mourinho who has proved he has what it takes to win the premiership and the champions league!! I love Rafa and I hope this is sorted ASAP.

Apparently there are massive problems behind the scenes, some over the Masch deal, but other things as well.

Also Gillet Jnr went back to the USA after the Arsenal game and aint been seen since.
Why cant we have a easy life for a change
I reckon Dave U is on the money this time.

The thing that mystifies me is why Rafa keeps going on about transfer kitties, we obviously need to find funds for the new stadium who's cost has soared in recent times. On top of this the financial market is in turmoil and all the indications are of a massive downturn in the market, especially stateside! At the end of the day G&H are the owners and know what money is available to spend and top players command top wages. I don't think it helps to keep airing these things in the press at all.
