As its Friday night theres a chance that someone may bump into Rafa's daughter in a student union somewhere. If so will they ask her whats going on, as she was so oblidging with informationlast time round.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Considering the increased cost of the stadium, and if we don't advance in the CL, I can understand the owners are worried about finance. The stadium must come first, although both woudl be nice.

Sure, we could do with a centreback, if not, Hobbs will have to fill in.
It is not the end of the world.

United had to start preparing for Scholes and Giggs' departure, regardless on if the were champs, which they did when they signed Nani and Anderson.
Its not just the purchasing they are wanting to control but also the sale

Rafa cant sell a player until he meets with the Americans and gets their approval

Rafa has obviously presented them with his plans, why do they have to meet him to approve sales??

For me as much as Rafa is bleating the Yanks arent helping matters

Are looking at the new stadium as well.

personally before Rafa shells out £17m on Masch he should look to get rid of Sissoko first.
He cant sell players until the Yanks give him permission when they come over on the 15th December

Surely this is just conjecture based on one journalist view of it? I can't see any real evidence of this taken from the direct quotes of either party.

Apologies if this has already been covered earlier in the thread but what is the story with Foster Gillett?

Isn't he supposed to have taken up a position alongside Parry by now?
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Yes but did Hicks quote that he has removed Rafa from all transfer dealings and if so who is our new director of football as we would need one for this to take place. If Hicks has made this decision then fair enough Rafa is fully vindicated in his anger and i will assume he will be gone very shortly, however if it's just a case of "wait until December before we discuss money for transfers because at the moment we're up to our asses in trying to secure finance for the stadium" then it puts a different slant on things, would you not agree?

Sorry, I'm not following what you are saying.

He's been told to stand down from doing what he sees as a critical part of his job. They want to take an approach that would seem to make it a risk in getting who we want. They won't return his calls.

                    He's pissed. Wouldn't you be?

You cant do that to a manager it totally undermines him

exactly, and he's proven in the past he wont stick around if it goes that way.

hardly childish,he was pissed off,and you've missed the point,he cant sell,he cant buy .he can do nothing until one of them gets their lazy arse back over here, which is in itself a ****ing crazy situation, you cannot control a club from thousands of miles away.even their son who is supposed to be over here hasnt been here for nearly a month.

No,he was obviously told you keep coaching and keep your nose out of money matters,as he said all of 25 times at the press confrence.
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

What i'm asking is are there any actual quotes from Hicks saying that Rafa has been asked to step down from his role in transfer dealings, or is it the journalists guess that's what happened i.e is it added in to the story in order to sensationalise or is it fact, as in proven to of taken place. I can't really think of another way of wording it, sorry.

Regardless of who's right and wrong ths could have been handled alot better by all parties.

This has been a really wierd few days and I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa isn't around come their mooted meeting in December.

I wouldn't blame him for walking now, would you?

See i'm not convinced it's true, or should i say that if it is true then we will need a director of football to oversee our transfers which obviously Rafa will walk away from at some point. However how many times have journalists padded out or sensationalised a story for maximum effect. I will hold my judgement until some official comment from LFC.

But why would he walk, based on what? A few journalists sensationalising an argument over money? I really thought Rafa was a bit more calculating than this. Fair play if after the summer he had come out and said from the off he wasn't backed in the transfer market but to get upset over not being able to discuss transfers until the w/end of the 15 December seems really weird, after all not many big transfers happen in this window as a rule. I do concede however that both parties have acted in a way which disrespects the clubs image.
