in all fairness at least the owners have not come out and said -

rafa is the right man for the job
we hope rafa will be here for many seasons to come
we have fill confidence in him

the above would mean sacked - real quick too !!!!

so if i could sit the two parties down in a room i would say

rafa quit talking club politics in public, you got something to say say it behind closed doors. this is not spain this is LFC. our fans (who just so happen to be the best in the world) take our past and our name LFC very serious and do not want to see it being dragged through the mud.

americans - stop being ****in americans. you fat loud mouthed ****ers. stop releasing statements to the media. sort problems out like men not ****in children.

and eh........................................ if you got 30 odd million knockin about we need a defender striker and winger,
    thanks,
    love you. x x x x
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

The problem with that is that G&H don't seem that interested talking with Rafa.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i agree - this seems as though rafa thought this was his best way to get through. imo it was the wrong way. but then again i aint brought the redmen to 2 european cup finals in two years so maybe my opinion means **** all

So far all they have come up with as you say, a lot of false promises.
          Not true.

          The stadium fella.
They played a blinder on that issue.
Tore up the crap plans that were there and made sure a state of the art stadium is being set up, and not with a 60000 max capacity either.

You gotta give them that one, and when costs have doubled as well.

Just because they **** up somethings doesn't mean they **** up on every issue. It is not black and white.

All quotes from the yanks. All hot air. They think we are stupid and a few ****in lines here and there will please us.

Well were not stupid, and luckily we have a manager with the biggest set of bollocks in football who isnt afraid of reminding them of the **** they have said.

Obviuosly there is gonna be only one winner in this, the yanks. But i`m with Rafa all the way.

Spot on Paul. All that was fed to us as a PR excercise. They obviously hoped we would all lap it up but fortunately we're not that gullible.

Allegedly.......we don't know this for sure? at this moment in time that information has come from the press with no source quoted

Have Hicks and Gillette ****ed up at all though.

Rafa may not like having to answer to someone who doesnt always say yes like Moores did?

Lets just wait until Dec 17th'ish

Well, it looks like they won't pay for the stadium themselves but I agree with you that the new stadium looks fantastic but it isn't built yet.

Rafa should have been more professional.

If thats his idea of making a point, maybe he should go. He started the whole affair imo.

He wants the best players but looks like the Americans for one reason or another are not giving him that option OR are not willing to discuss new players until they are ready. Doesnt mean there is no cash.

Could be the banks playing up, stadium costs going up, even the dollar but its clear there is a problem at Liverpool.

The whole saga the other day leads me to think maybe this isnt saveable. Expect the press to push and push now.

The thing is that we dont know exactly whats been said to Rafa

IF you take the owners statement literally (and believe Barratts article) then in addition to it being about money its also about taking the whole transfer market out of his hands

For me I could accept the Americans saying we cant give you any more money but anything you generate can be spent, however Hicks' statement stated that no "ins or outs" would be even discussed before Mid-December

Surely thats undermining the manager, to have the board actually dictating who he can or cannot sell

I could understand them preventing him selling a Gerrard or an Alonso etc.. but to interfere in EVERY deal including players such as Carson, Sissoko, Riise etc.. thats not good and to be honest IF that is how the Americans are going to operate you have to wonder what manager would actually be daft enough to work under those conditions.

I mean FFS these guys dont even know whether its Wembley or Wednesday nevermind the correct name for the positions!!!

This Echo podcast gives some more insight into what the issue is about:

Tony Barrett and a couple of other people are giving their views.
                            It is worth a listen.

                              LOL

You know what when I saw their joint statement and Hicks' comment the first thing I thought about is that Americans are always big on PR but the jist of most of their PR is always bullsh!t

"Significnt spend" my fecking @rse you've spent circa £20-24 million NETT and I'd question whether Moores could have reached that amount (with the increase in TV revenues from this season onwards)

Stop spouting sh!te and be honest, because from what I'm currently seeing "you've got nothing to say and you're saying it far too loud"

Well...the Yanks might include resigning all our main players into that spending as well.
