The fact that they aren't willing to commit to precise levels of financing on player purchases in Jan until after both their major financial restructuring deal is completed, and we are aware of income levels due to CL qualification, shows that above sentence to be nonsensical. Giving Rafa a blank cheque before knowing the outcomes of these events would riddle the club with debt.

Stupid question but why is Rafa wanting to deal only with the owners anyway? Isnt it Parrys job to the hack work on transfers? Rafa identifies who he wants and Parry fetches. It seems he is bypassing Parry altogether. Given the owners know f all about the ways and means of the EPL and the intricacies of player recruitment they may think ut out of order that its Rafa on the phone and not Parry. Maybe Parry has got pissed off and stirred the pot by complaining that Rafa is trying to do his job. I anticipate the usual Parry is a nob, is hopeless,doesnt know his arse from his elbow sort of response but his silence in all this has been deafening.
