It's a funny old game isn't it?

But why should Arsenal stumble at home without Fabregas? They've got a bloody big squad, Fulham are very poor and he's just one player

Cesc is their heartbeat though - their new Henry. I was kinda hoping that it would show that they didn't have depth today. Not to be, Makes me more worried about the challenge of overtaking Arsenal

I disagree - Gerrard's performance today would seem to fly in the face of what you say.

IF we did go out of the CL I would think that it would put a very sharp focus on the Premiership - not saying we're not focused now but I'd think we be alot more ruthless.

Its all hypothetical though mate - we're winning number 6 this year

        This Liverpool Side

        Should NEVER be written off.
We have quality in abundance within this squad.
Without wanting to get carried away i think we'll close damn close to winning the league this season.
We weren't even forced to go all out today and even so we looked the part, every man in control and hungry for the ball.
The future is bright, the future is red.

Newcastle were absolute garbage today though, lets not get carried away. You can say we were that good that we made them look poor, but we were just snatching the ball back off them whenever we lost it. Other than Smith they had very little fight or commitment.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Still in 5th with a game in hand.
(Taking into account the Chelsea game tonight)

The table just doesn't look right at the mo.
We are unbeaten and Pompey are a point behind us.. WTF.

but will move above the mancs when we win that game in hand.

True true but you only beat the team your playing against and we didn't really have to play overly well to win the game comfortably. That is a very encouraging sign.
We're looking very strong at this present time.

Barring Momo who was atrocious in the first half, he improved in the 2nd but he couldn't have got any worse.
However don't want to be overly picky we played well today Newcastle may have been ****e but in past seasons we would've been dragged down to their level.
Instead we played with pace and simple pass and move, Torres was unlucky not to have another hat-trick.
                        Very good performance all round.

that would be absolutely massive, can you imagine the players and supporters if we beat them, surely we're due a win in the league against them.

You've got to look at Bolton and reading coming up and see 6 points, if we go into that match with the scum knowing a win would take us above them in table, still with a game in hand, we'd seriously be in the mix, maybe the chavs would do us a favour v arsenal as well, and get a draw.

The quality of our play was top top class, Newcastle looked terrible because of the way we performed, pass and move at its best.

                              Very impressive.

wasn't only that...we fought for every ball. Never gave them time on the ball. We were simply a different class today. It makes you wonder why we haven't performed like that all season especially against the likes of Blackburn, Birmingham and Tottenham.
