The owners have spent a lot of money buying the business, they have pumped money into getting some better quality staff, and they have financially backed the move to a better location and made the planned move better than the original design. They have also let the floor manager get on with his job unhindered by their lack of product knowledge.

So far all is well, all they need is to be in the best markets for the best returns, and for that they need a dedicated quality floor manager to get those to those markets.

Close as that may be it is still not assured.

Sticking point is the manager is demanding more investment than they think is necessary at this time.

    Who is right ?

The manager must be right because without the investment the returns will be harder to achieve.

The owners must be right because adding to the debt without the extra returns is not an good investment.

Of course the extra investment may bring the returns but contrarily the returns could be gained without extra investment

One cancels out the other, But he who pays the piper calls the tune.

Would these clever owners therefore sacrifice years of good work to make a point and then appoint a replacement in a field of expertise that they have no knowledge of, I think not, although the incumbent manager is a man of principle who may not back down if cornered.

The owners are extremely succesful business men who surely understand asset management better than most.

I trust they will get it right.

And he will stay to collect his Christmas bonus.
Really good post mate. Well said and everyone should read it instead of spouting off about something they aren't fully informed about..

They must be pissed off but surely the ain't stupid enough not to know any top class manager would come in without being guaranteed alot more funds than Rafa wants to turn Rafa's team into their team.Mourinho wasn't exactly shy about spending cash and his departure from Chelsea was instigated by him doing the same thing Rafa is doing now, complaining about lack of funds.Sounds like lazy journalism to me.

i can really see hicks and gillette getting a very warm welcome from our fans for the mancs game, considering what attracted them to us in the first place was our support supposedly, they're gonna get one hell of an earfull, imo if this **** is still going on by then we as fans need to make a stand for the good of our club

The yanks wont be stupid. They'll run the PR machine in the run up to it to get us all on side. I wont be surprised if its a turnaround on whats go on and they'll be all smiles and singing Rafa's praises. We'll lap it up and half of us will be 'See I told you the yanks were fine' while the other half will be 'no theyre ****e until they show us the money'. Then it'll all be quiet for a month until toward the end of Jan and we'll all be panicing again because Rafa hasnt signed anyone.

If they sack Rafa before that game I advise them not to come. They will not be welcomed. If they don't, we need to make sure they get the message across: "You **** with Rafa, you **** with us".

it's funny but it was always going to come down to this window in my eyes

typical yanks come in talking the talk, put on the show for the fans bring in torres babel etc, get the stadium going thats all well and good, but it's what happens after that, anyone can make a grand entrance. I hope they aren't thinking that just because they're building us a new stadium it means they don't have to invest in the side, because that isn't going to wash. Lets see what happens in jan

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
