Exactly. Why can't they get a flight to Liverpool now and sort this out? Dragging this on for another 3 weeks is just bad news IMO.Originally posted by The Glove View PostThing is, they are coming on the day we play the Mancs. Do we want to be protesting in front of the mancs? We'd look right cunts in front of our biggest enemy."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

i was in favour of Steve Morgan's bid. I don't know much about any of the groups who were alleged to be want to take over but I know Morgan was the only LFC fan. Sure he would have wanted to make some dosh but primarily he wanted to run the club he loved.
DIC, Kraft, H&G all wanted to make cash. No of them give two monkeys about LFC, they would take over any club were cash could be made. They have 1 aim, making money. Sure they want success on the pitch, but only because that will make them more cash, not because they love LFC.
If Morgan was in power would Rafa be struggling to find out how much he has to spend until mid Dec. Would morgan be sitting 6000 miles away, turning up for the odd match here & there. Would he have reduced Rafa to a puppet, virtually begging to keep his job.
Not a chance.
We've sold our soul to the devil and got we deserved, two yanks who neither know or care about LFC. 2 yanks who are more concerned with making cash than winning trophies. 2 yanks who care more about slapping down the best manager we;ve had since King Kenny than the future of our club. We're just another club now, the soul has gone and it will never ever return.AKA Heighway No9

Come on mate...Morgan is a clown.
I get a bit of inside info on Morgan (my brother-in-law is best mates with Morgan's son)...so in that sense it's a shame he never got the gig.
Seriously though...I can't believe you were in favour of him. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Morgan isn't rich enough.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I felt the best option for the club would have been a Moores/Morgan alliance. However, such was the animosity between the 2 that was never going to happen. Morgan is no clown though, you can't build up a business empire like he has if you don't have the required business accuman.
The problem by selling to anyone looking at the club primarily as a business is that you get into positions like we are now. The people in charge don't know about football and don't care about LFC. One of the main reasons we had so much success on the pitch in the 1970's onwards was we were so stable off the pitch. Our managers were given time and money to do their job whilst the board got on with theirs. I'm sure there were problems at times but they never adversely effected the club on the pitch.
No club can be successful on the pitch if its badly run off it. We're just another club now, that special bond between the board/manager/fans has gone. H&G view us like any business. They see Rafa as no more than an employee, who can be sacked at will if he has the nerve to publically question them. We would never have reached this position under Moores and I don't think we would under Morgan.
LFC is a shambles right now, its a virtual civil war. Rafa and the fans/players on 1 side, H&G/Parry on the other. Football clubs are like political parties. If they are divided they win nothing.AKA Heighway No9

So Gillett and Hicks are fighting each other and they plus Parry are fighting against the rest of us.

Just like the old soap opera Dallas.'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

the real ****s are those who were running the club in the 70's and 80's and didnt have the foresight to build a bigger stadium when LFC ruled the world. We would be laughing now and wouldnt have had to wait 17+ years for another title. No Hicks, no Gilette.
Hicks reminds me of that cowboy in Dr. Strangelove who rides the nuclear missle down to destruction yelling 'yehawwww' all the way."I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.
The Future is Red!

I believe G&T are canny business men, what has gone on recently is a minor slip up on the way to glory ..... one hopes
Perhaps George W got his mate to ruin our beloved club because of the threads in the library...... apologiesAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015
