As far as the club is concerned I'm learning to revise my expectations on a daily basis so as not to be disappointed; dreams of Rafa being backed to the extent that will enable us to match Man U and Chelsea (or even backed at all for that matter), a unique state of the art stadium etc, ie all the stuff the yanks have promised us

Unfortunately mate, I trust Dave Usher on this one. He has proven to be a very good insider. I agree with your earlier post that under the current conditions it might not be prudent to saddle our club with an extra 150 million. We should take the cheaper option if available. For all we know they might be exploring a nicer redesign of the old stadium.

However, the fact that they conducted a publicity blitz for the previous stadium was what makes it embarrassing.

The only positive thing I see of the new development is that I don't think they will dare to sack Rafa and scrap the previous stadium plans. They will not be able to set foot in Liverpool if they approve the Parry bowl, sack Rafa , especially if the new manager does not live up to Rafa's standards which is 2 champs league final in 3 years.

Talking about Dave Usher and TLW, here's a post of his, from 24 Nov

Moores has admitted privately that he made a mistake selling to them and regrets it. If he had any ****ing balls whatsoever he'd go public and admit that. If he did, I'd actually respect him for it. Everyone makes mistakes, but by keeping his mouth shut and enjoying his 'executive' priviledges at Anfield, he's condoning what they're doing.

Is Moores still on the "inside", does he know how the Americans are running the club and what plans they have? If so, and Usher is right that Moores does regret selling to them, then it's another thing he's got wrong, and I'm really worried about the future of our club. "Sold to the USA"

Its all over Sky news this morning, how ****ing embarrassing.

I don’t really get this “global credit crunch” reason. Now, I’m not an economist but surely given the fact that the largest central banks around the globe (including the US) have, and are likely to continue, to cut interest rates the cost of borrowing is getting cheaper. These Yankes are independent billionaires. The global credit crunch bull**** has more to do with banks being afraid to lend money to other banks (no?), G&T haven’t underwritten any subprime mortages so why would it effect them? I know the price of steel and energy is sky rocketing but these prices will never come down so its probably better to spend now rather than later.

I dont pay much, if any attention to Mr. Usher. He's been wrong more than right over the years i've been daft enough to be around, and he chooses to contribute to what appears to be a very poor LFC website.
Sky sports news isnt really a 'news' channel at all, just a collection of interviews and rehashes from papers, ingnore. The Mirror...................say no more.

Valid point, but at the very least it shows that the Americans are not doing well managing their "brand".
