Should be a win for us Reading look a team that has no more ideas.

Coppell will probably leave in the next few months
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

      I reckon you're right.

And NOT because of the injury. It'll be because of the yellow card.

Do Reading have a major ariel threat? If not, then I think Arbeloa will play alongside Sami

Is Finnan fit does anyone know? I thought he took a knock. If he's not then Arbeloa has to play at RB which basically leaves Hobbs at CB unless Carra plays
Also what's with Aurelio this time? He keeps popping up for a game and being crocked for the next 3!

I'm sure I read that Finnan would be fine for Reading.

No idea what is wrong with Aurelio this time. But his frequent injuries show that he can't be relied upon for the left back berth. We need another left back, especially if Riise goes.

Looks like Carra won`t ready for the Reading match.
So Hobbs or Arbeloa it is.

Yes. Both Kitson and Doyle are both good in the air.

And several other of their players as well.
We had some problems defending on corners in the League cup.

Yeah, some big centre halves like Bikey, Duberry and Ingimarsson - although I think Duberry's injured.

Torres should rip them apart - hopefully Torres plays for the first 60 minutes. Bikey didn't have a clue against Torres last time!
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I bet you there would be plenty who would.

I see the case for resting Torres, phyical tiredness over the festive period. But the Carra argument I disagree with, let the lad play he is sensible enough to avoid a silly booking and I would be seriously concerned with Hobbs and Hyypia at the back.
carra is apparently still suffering from a bruising and will not be fit anyway so that's that i guess. step in jack the lad.
torres should play imo even though not the whole of 90 mins. if he's rested we should still be strong enough to beat reading and i'm positive that we will regardless who plays. but maybe rafa's game plan for marseilles doesn't include torres and he'll be rested on wednesday - with rafa you never know.

Yeah I understand Carra hasnt fully recovered so that that argument put to bed.

Torres should still be very fresh though. Hes been injured a bit this season and hasnt had as much game time as the rest. Im hoping he can give us 60 minutes roughly against Reading, the same against Marseille and then still be fresh for the big game against Man Utd. If Gerrard can play virtually every game I fail to see why Torres, who is younger, cant do exactly the same.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Personally think it'll be rotation time again with the higher profile games coming up.

Doubt Carra, Gerrard or Torres will start (sure Rafa will surprise me and go with all 3 now)

                                I'd guess at

                                Reina
                                Finnan Hobbs Hyppia Arbeloa
                                Babel Sissoko Mascherano Kewell
                                Voronin Kuyt

Expect that if its nil-nil Gerrard and Torres will come on late.
