Eh, he got all three penalty decisions wrong. That means that he got three goals wrong. Two for us and one for them.Originally posted by Jocko View Post
Classic.
If you take three minus one then you get two.
If you take one plus two then you get three.
That means that if the ref had got it right then we would have scored three and they two, if we had scored on our two pens.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

This might seem blatantly obvious but, we have a much better chance of winning games when we have 10 players who can control and pass the ball. Our problem today was we gave the ball away with some terrible control and passing. Momo was the biggest culprit but Riise, Carra and Crouch were all at fault. Voronin is a tidy player but was played in the wrong position and the game was too physical for him. Someone like Lucas should have played today alongside Mascherano. He can be physically but can pass the ball.
The big question now is... would you give Rafa money in January? If he sold Sissoko and Riise I would have a lot more respect for Rafa.

It was very poor today, there is no doubt about that.
Ok, it was never a penalty in the first half but we were never really in it and we look a different team without Torres up front.
I've no problems with the substitutions bearing in mind that we play Marseille on Tuesday and a booking for either Gerrard or Carragher would have had them miss the United game.
Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise though. Going into next weekends game undefeated would be all hyped up out of proportions. Maybe now, we can just concentrate on beating United.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

The cocks are back out tonight. Flipping heck. It was one of those games. At 1-1 we should have had a penalty. Refereeing was shocking. Don't know how that can't be partly to blame, not totally. Yeah the team selection was a bit out. However, that team was still good enough to beat Reading
Our luck wasn't in today. That's quite clear to see. However, too many people are jumping on the rotation bandwagon again. No doubt the papers will be. Personally I don't give a ****. We're still in the title race and nothing is over. It's a blip. But we can put it right in the next week.
To all those slating Rafa we hammered Bolton and Newcastle playing some fantastic stuff. Why didn't you ask for him to be sacked then? Go back to reading the **** rags and we'll see you again when we lose or draw
Come on Hatton...****ing have him

So we can't do that even when he get all three major decisions wrong.Originally posted by blacky View Post

We cannot hide behind ref's decisions.
If he gets on wrong then you can understand it, but not when he gets all three major decisions wrong and all of them in favour of one team.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

Not just in points.Originally posted by Slim View PostWe'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I wouldn't call a 7 point gap with over half the season to go being 'way ahead'.
Even when they lose at least they attempt to play something that resembles football.
I'm not sure what that was from us tonight.

Taking Gerrard off with 20 mins left was a disgrace. Playing two defensive midfielders against a muck team like Reading was a disgrace. Playing no wingers was a disgrace.
Yes, we've been on a great run but there was no reason why we couldn't keep it going today. Just stick to what we've been doing. Why oh why does Rafa change it? And what's the point with taking Gerrard off after 70 mins? Will the extra 20 mins benefit him that much?
Rafa wants the CL, plain & simple. And he's willing to sacrifice the PL because of it.
We'll go 10 points behind Arsenal tomorrow if they win. A lot of ground to make up even at this stage.
perhaps our budget in january depends on qualifying for the knockout stages
or perhaps his job does?
if we had won today but lost to the mancs next week would that make you happy?
todays loss can only be judged on future results.Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

He got injured when he was hacked down from behind in one of our clear cut penalty incidents.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostAFII, Stop talking out your arse, mate. What did the ref have to do with Torres' injury?
It's because of refs like this that players get injured. The players know that they will get away with it so they continue to hack down the star players who in turn get injured sooner or later.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
