IMO these guys have seen Parry's denial today so they took an educated guess that keeping the new stadium plans will mean no money in Jan.

The big deal in that bit above is that H&G bought the club with money from thier own pocket.

They didn't though. They took out a loan from the Royal Bank of Scotland. This loan will have been secured against their own assets. This is probably what the article meant by them paying for it themselves. The thing to remember here though is that the repayments on that loan will be paid from the clubs coffers not G&H's personal pocket. So, no, they have not spent any of their own money nor will they in the future. They are getting the club to buy the club for them.

Also when they get the new loan sorted for the stadium they will in all likelihood use it to refinance the initial loan they used to buy the club. This will then mean that as well as the club making the repayments on the loan it will also be secured against the club.

I don't have a problem with the club putting the odd squeeze on transfers when times are hard, what I don't like is the constant lying.. the snoogy dog interviews, the flashing of cash on ITV, the promises of not putting debt on the club, the new stadium design etc etc.. its been one thing after another.
