To be fair, it was sloppy, but with Kuyt running into a group of players and leaving the ball behind everytime he got it, it doesn't stand out.

You have to admit, what they did do they did brilliantly, namely take their one chance that comes from a jammy set piece and then get 11 men behind the ball and defend like trojans. Most enertaining team in the country my arse. They're just a glorified counter-attacking team.

Arsenal came to Anfield and actually played football. ManU got a stroke off luck when we didn`t.That`s the difference in the two teams.I also think aresnil will lose a few more games this season.

Can't see what everyone is moaning about.

Yesterday was always gonna be about who scored the first goal. Had we scored from the set pieces we had we would have won the game, simple as. These games are always the same.

The only department we struggled in was that we were unable to keep a high line without Agger, the pace they had on the break meant we couldn't play suicidal like football. Agger is also great at bringing the ball out of defence, which of course would have helped.

I know we struggled to break them down, but they are a top team with a great defence, so what do you expect? Two cock ups by them from set pieces and we failed to capitalise. One cock up by us and it's one nil.

Lets see where we are in the league after the bust Xmas period. 4 wins and it may not be all over just yet.

We cant expect to win the prem if we spend 10 after 10 million on half-chances. Either have to go big on players like torres or there wont be any point

What like Alonso? And Agger? Who cost only £6m. Arbeloa? Who only cost £3m. Reina cost £8m.

These are all top quality players.

Yes buying a £20m pound centre forward has it's benefits.

But not every player has to cost at least £15m to be a top quality player.

It's not how much you spend but who you spend it on.

And Rafa's shown he's fairly good at it, so let's give him the next couple of years to see where we end up.

Or we can throw our hands in the air and give up - like some of the whingers on here - and hope DIC come flying in on their flying ****in carpet and spend us to the league.
