Say what you want about the "backstabbing midget" but his record speaks for itself. He scores goals and is a big game player. If the rumours are true and newcastle are looking to offload him on the cheap then it would be madness not to sign him. Forget his injury record, the physio team at newcastle are a joke. Rafa would get him fit, the rotation policy would suit him and he would be a perfect option as a 2nd or 3rd choice striker. Kuyt and Voronin are not clinical enough in front of goal for a eam that is looking to challenge for the title.Dare we believe

Maybe Torres does not need a strike partner in the traditional sense. Maybe we could play Alonso and Mascher as CM and push Stevie on as an attacking Midfielder playng behind Torres when possible and dropping to add numbers in CM? Just a thought...

I think Anelka would be a terrible partner for Torres, he won't help him find space and he certainly won't allow him to get more goals.
