Torres, Babel, Nemeth and a new striker should be ok IMO.

Maybe we could get Dos Santos. He still hasn't signed a new deal with Barca and his agent is allegedly offering him around the big clubs.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Rafa rotates so that's that problem solved.I dont think that has sorted the problem at all.
I'm not a massive Owen fan but for under 6mill I would take him and anyone who says otherwise is seriously deluded because at 50% fit he is better than Crouch, Voronin and Kuyt. He`s not, Owen is useless unless 100% fit
Let's not get started on this judas, mercanary bollocks It`s not bollocks, Gerrard handed in a transfer request but that gets forgotten Who by? not by me it doesnt.. Owen went and tried his luck with Madrid, he didn't try to engineer a move to Chelsea Neither did Gerrard..
I'm not slating Gerrard either You are, and rightly so., just stating facts No youre not, just your opinion..

Unless he means Szilard Nemeth the former Middlesbrough stalwart.

Now seeing him up top with Torres would be a truly exciting prospect.

If we bought Villa in January and won the title in May, it would NOT upset the summer spending IMO.
I don't see the merit in buying decent players, Kuyt was a decent signing but a bit of a calculated risk.
We need to sign world class players, like we did with Torres, so why not go for Villa?

Do you really think he would offer any less to our game than Voronin?

That is what it all comes down to, if Nemeth would be better for our team than Voronin, who he probably would replace, not how many reserve team games he has played.

It all comes down to if he is good enough and would improve us, not how old he is or how many reserve team games he has played.

He isn't a kid. There are many players that plays week in week out at the age of 19, well, he will be 19 in three days.

Voronin is a seasoned international, not a reserve team regular. THink about your posts mate

Mate ive seen him in every game hes played for us for the reserves and its clear hes gonna be a huge star.

BUT dont forget hes a kid, he cant speak english, hes in a foreign country and hes just come back from a long term injury. Playing him i title chasing pressure charged games could well **** his confidence right up.

Give the kid time fella and I have no doubts whatsoever he will become a big big star for us.

If he isn't ready (and I suspect our coaches are better placed than any of us to tell) then he could easily do worse than Voronin who particularly when played with Crouch and earlier in the season has done well at times for us. If we play Nemeth before he is ready and he does badly and his development is put back no one benefits.

I agree with you about age and experience but I don't see how you can tell he is ready when others much closer to the situation appear not to think so. In some cases like even Insua you have a much stronger case as he has been in first team squads and so it is obvious that Rafa and our staff think he is ready for consideration even if they usually pick other options.

I think scandoman is seriously underestimating the gulf in class between reserve team football and 1`st team football

If andrei voronin is struggling to make a impact, imagine how hard it would be for a kid just returning from injury in a foreign country

I would rather have Nemeth on the bench than Voronin but if it was a choice as to who would start a match I would go with Voronin.

That may not make sense but that is what I would do.

I don't care if Voronin is a seasoned international, he has done very little for us and isn't a real goal threat or that creative.

There is many seasoned international players that isn't good enough.
