Had we been talking about isolated moments of underperformance or poor results, there'd be no problem. But we've won HALF of our games in the league this season. Just half.

That means, every other game we play, we fail to win. That's FAR too regular.

As for 2 top signings - i wouldnt even be convinced that rafa would even PLAY them on a regular basis, let alone in their correct positions.

Babel's a top signing for me, but he isnt being allowed to make the impact he's capable of, half the time because the woeful kuyt is preferred and the other half of the time, he's left out in order to play Kewell!

    I really do despair...

Dont think we'll have to wait too long for a change in manager anyway - the lack of voices coming out of the club, be it owners or otherwise, speaks volumes about Benitez' position. Its very sad but seemingly true. i mean even the spurs board publicly backed Martin Jol before he got the boot and our owners havent even done that!!!
    Fernando Torres

I dont just love him, I'm IN love with him

I hope that time isnt for ages, because it'd mean he'd sorted things and lead us to success.

People seem to think i dont like Rafa. This saddens me, i love the fella.

I just love the club more.
I don't think you believe this will happen all the same
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Well, sometimes the 'vote of confidence' is the last thing a manager wants to hear - certainly didnt help Jol.

Come on now Syd mate don't believe the media **** about Rafa not playing his top players. He's rested Gerrard once and Torres a couple of times and not since the Brum game (cups aside and we should have beaten Luton with that team yesterday).

Reina, Carra, Gerrard, Mascher, Torres 90% of the time start every game so 2 top signings say a winger/play maker and another Striker and I firmly believe that half of those draws would turn into wins. Babel is to inconsistant at the min and is more of an impact player. I'm yet to see him put in a 90 min performance and I for one think this season he needs to carry on playing the odd game and then coming for the bench for the rest of them.

As I said football is all about fine lines and I know it's if's and but's count for nothing but with a bit of luck in our last 2 league games we would have been right up there.

I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Often times the vote of confidence is the beginning of the end.

Perhaps it can be interpreted as reassuring that our owners/hierarchy don't think Rafa's job is sufficiently under threat to come out with the vote of confidence.

Or is that just wishful thinking?

Rubbish only 3 weeks ago one of our owners said that rafa is the man they want. Do they have to respond to every story in the papers?

But you're talking as if our current playing staff are only good enough to win half the games. Do we need 2 top signings to win more than 50% of our league games? That's a sad indictment if true.

Yeah true, but they dont half keep you lot entertained and give you lots to do (albeit in a somewhat cursory manner)

Rafa wont be the manager next season. I'm almost tempted to say i'll eat my sock if he is.

I'm not though. Not intentionally at least.

You're saying 2 more top players and we'd turn some of those draws into wins, right?

I'm saying it shouldnt need two more top players, our current playing staff should be winning some of those drawn games! Cant see how anyone could disagree with that.

As for Rafa, yes he is a wonderful fella and i love him to bits. Same could be said for my old man, but i'm not about to put him forward for the job. As for valencia, yes he did great there. Doesnt mean a jot in the Premier League though.
No offence mate, but I don't look at the name of posters, just the points of view. Nothing is personal as far as I'm concerned.

I don't believe there is another manager available capable of doing the job to the standard available and in line with Liverpool's traditions.

That last part might not matter to some, but hopefully it still matters to a lot of us.
