Thought he signed in the winter window 2006? and played very little due his knee injury and shin splints. Even remember Rafa taking plaudits for easing him into the first team.

That's true mate but Xabi had a similar injury and so did Stevie and they came back much faster.
Also the fact that Rafa said they were working on a new type of boot to protect his foot said it all for me.

Horrendous news. Our play really has suffered without his ability to bring the ball out of defence- let's hope this Scurtains dude can do that.

Poor Danny- hopefully it's just a fluke & he'll be back & right as rain for next season.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Only made 4 app's in his first season with us albeit only jan-may.

            Season A G Team
            2007 - 2008 5 0 Liverpool

            2006 - 2007 27 2 Liverpool

            2005 - 2006 4 0 Liverpool

            2005 - 2006 8 0 Brøndby IF

            2004 - 2005 26 5 Brøndby IF

I seem to remember rumours that he would struggle to ever make a full recovery from the shin splints injury. I think it may just down to being a slow healer and Rafa already knows this from his first 6 months with us, hence the splashing the cash on this Skrtel fella.

Your figures are completely different to redg's. Are yours prmiership appearances only? I have to admit, I remember Agger being injured and missing games quite often.

ok so but what are you including in that cup ties, internationals, friendlies?

Dont' mean to be pedantic but there is a big difference between 12 league games for Brondby and LFC and playing 36 games. It's not that I disbelieve you I just struggle to see how he could have played that many games in a season that was so hampered by injuries. However I'd be more than happy for you to enlighten

I do now understand the stats I quoted were league games but it still doesn't add up for me.

close enough 34.. I'd love to know what the games listed as other games were. I guess friendly's and internationals. I must admit I'm a little surprised considering the amount of time he spent in our physio's company.
